It's the angle of the camera. You can't see the screen properly.

Although gun laws have effectively prevented a lot of gun violence in some European countries (e.g. the UK), they would not work in the US. Here's why:
1. The US is not Europe. It's a lot bigger in area and has a lot more people than any European country. It would be next to impossible to enforce gun laws.
2. Gun ownership is a Constitutionally-protect right in the US, which means that unless there's a Constitutional Amendment (very unlikely, as they're extremely hard to pass), the government cannot abolish the right to bear arms. Although it's no longer necessary to maintain a militia, guns are still useful for self-defense, hunting, and as an emergency safeguard against tyranny.
3. Mexico. And Latin America.

Except you miss the point of the post.
It shows the fact that outlawing something won't make it impossible to get, people still get pot, hell they get coke and meth and crack, they still get fully automatic weapons, they still get illegally obtained videos, they still get anything that is illegal.
Outlawing guns simply will mean that civilians won't be able to have guns, which means that any situations that could be averted by Joe Blow having a legally obtained pistol are now shifted to the point where the criminal, be it burglar, mugger, etc now is basically unstoppable due to the illegally obtained pistol he has.

Yes I see your point, it will make it harder to get them, but not really, because they are socially accepted, sure the cops would arrest the guy that is shooting cans in the backyard of his suburban house, just like they would if you were sitting there are smoking a blunt and it was annoying your neighbours. But what about Johnny out in the country, we get away with everything short of murder, meaning that we would still get guns as easily as we get pot.

All in all, all banning guns will do is stop those who would use them responsibly from having them (for the most part)

So after you outlaw guns what then? Will you decide that pocket knives are also too dangerous for everyone to have? Will you allow us to own bows, or slingshots?
