yes thats what freedom of speach means theoreticly but as i stated freedom of speach is a concept it doesnt actually exist. our modern use of the word mean that government don't prosecute your for you you say. this isn't complete freedom of speach and its also not the case there is no government that allows us to say what we want

I guess we're just gonna have to agree to disagree bro.
I believe freedom of speech comes with responsibility to your fellow humans, if it infringes upon the rights of others to live their own lives (and i think racial slurs can do just that), you should be held accountable.

There is no room for emotions in freedom of speach either everything is allowed (freedom of speach)
or some things aren't allowed to be said (no freedom of speach) there is no middle ground.
If you feel some words shouldn't be said then you oppose freedom of speach its not a bad thing but it is how it is.

salihzzz (03/06/2015) [-] jup exactly, you don't get that as long as there is some power there is no freedom of speach. the only place where you can truly say what you want is if your in international waters with no one there for miles to see. then and only then can you say what you want to say without consequences.

You are allowed to say whatever you want, but be prepared to face the fallout and be accountable for the things you say.

Certain things can't be done or said because a power will stop or punish you for it.
This is a completely differant debate for exampe, if i say ****** on live tv i'm screwd, if a black guy says a racial word there is a far higher chance he'll get away with it.
