Maybe I should try this direction.

It would be my pleasure. Let us begin with the mechanics behind the story.
Sburb is the name of a process by which new universe are born. It selects children from an existing universe, takes them to a specially designed mini-universe to complete quests and become powerful, and then shaping a new Universe depending on the choices they made while playing. These children then become gods of the new Universe. Universes are proper, living things, and when perceived by lower beings they take the shape of gigantic frogs. (tadpoles when unformed, of course)
Children that play Sburb are given titles, assigned from 1 of 14 Classes, and 1 of 12 Aspects. The Classes are based on roles from a fairy tale (Bard / Prince / Heir / Witch etc) and the Aspects are various things (Time / Space / Hope / Blood etc) So a working Title would be a Prince of Hope, or a Bard of Blood. All of these are steeped in symbolism (eg. Princes are ALWAYS destructive) and they determine what power you get. (A Prince of Mind could erase memories, for example)

Some time ago, 48 beings played Sburb, creating a new universe. Whether through accident, in-fighting or boredom, they are all dead or missing by the time the story starts. In the Universe they created and used to rule, aliens called Trolls from the planet Beforus were allowed to play Sburb. Being a peaceful race, their fighting skills were poor, and they failed to win the game. Their Time and Life player worked together to cause a Scratch, an event that resets their old Universe and changes the initial conditions. Their game was never played, and their race would get another chance to succeed. The reset Universe hosted Trolls from a planet called Alternia. These Trolls were violent and skilled in combat, and when they played the game they succeeded. However, their focus on fighting led to the new Universe they created to become sick, but they didn't know that. Just before they were about to enter their new Universe and take their status as gods, a powerful being teleported to the middle of their group, destroying the portal to the new Universe and forcing them to flee, trapping them in their Sburb Session, never to become Gods of the Sick Universe. This powerful being would be called The Slayer.

The Sick Universe hosted a strange species called Humans. 4 of them were chosen to play the game, but the violent Trolls managed to use their powers and technology to communicate and affect their session. The trolls had guessed that the powerful being that hunted them even now had originated in the Sick Universe itself, and blamed the Humans for not dealing with it.
The Slayer takes it upon himself to systematically destroy the Trolls Sburb Session, eliminating possible hiding places 1 by 1. It is only a matter of time before he finds them. Likewise, the Trolls interference, and other events, has led the Humans Sburb game to become accelerated. What the Trolls accomplished over the span of weeks, the Humans must do in a single day. The Humans finish quests, level up, discover items and powers, all with the help of the Trolls, and they slowly become friends.
A strange being, who claims to share the powers of The Slayer, contacts both groups. He claims that their shared power comes from a Green Sun, a great star the size of two Universes and filled with infinite energy, upon which all other Universes orbit and draw energy from. He shows the Humans the location of a bomb he claims is powerful enough to destroy the Green Sun, stating that without it, he will die, and the Hunter will become powerless.

Why exactly this unknown person wants to die is unknown, but the bomb is where he says it is, so the Humans and Trolls come up with a plan, after researching the general properties of what forces they are dealing with. The unknown person shall be called Mr. White from now on. As they research, events unfold and it is revealed that one of the mini-bosses in the Human Session has managed to gather more power than he was supposed to, and has become The Slayer. He attacks the Humans, causing them to rush their research and power gaining.

Their Research reveals that -
Everything is surrounded and held within The Void. At the center of the Void is the Green Sun. Orbiting this are the Sburb Sessions, which are mini-universes the size of a Solar System. At the center of some Sburb Sessions are Universe Frogs, which are paradoxically larger on the inside than on the outside, since they contain a fully formed Universe. The Void is home to beings like Cthulu and other HorrorTerrors, and they usually stop people from journeying between Sburb Sessions, or towards the Green Sun. The Void has another defense in that Time and Space warp there, and never work as to be expected, even to Time and Space players.

The Humans and Trolls form a plan. The Humans will split into two teams. One team will destroy the Green Sun, filling The Void with the light of it's destruction. With The Slayer powerless, the Trolls only need to follow the light, allowing them to safely navigate the perils of The Void (reasoning here is "If the light survived the journey from the Green Sun to your eyes, then you can just trace it back to the source of the Green Sun itself, avoiding time/space warps along the way") The other humans will stay behind to Scratch the session, as the trolls did before them.

The Humans convince the HorrorTerrors to allow them to safely navigate the Void, and begin their journey. The Bomb is revealed to be powered by the death of two Universes, namely, the Humans and the Trolls. It is revealed that Mr. White lives in the Trolls Universe, and has used his considerable powers to orchestrate the destruction of that Universe. Meanwhile, the Slayer has finished his rampage in the Trolls Sburb session, and turns to finally destroy the Sick Universe Frog, which would destroy the Human Universe.

The Humans in the void have unknowingly suffered a Time Warp. They find themselves at the correct Space for the Green Sun, but their Time is way-off, and for a moment they exist in a Time BEFORE the Green Sun ever existed. The bomb is triggered, the two Universes are destroyed, and forced together, forming the Green Sun in the first place. The light of it's CREATION, not destruction, allows the trolls to traverse the Void, arriving to meet the Humans. Meanwhile, the Humans causing the Scratch manage to unlock Green Sun Powers, and use them to not only ensure the Scratch happens, but escape the dying Sburb Session before it resets completely. The Slayer does much the same, escaping into a separate Sburb Session, (the Trolls) and beginning his rampage there.

The Scratch caused the Human Universe to cough up new humans to play Sburb, in the same way it did for the trolls before. These new humans (who we will call Alpha Humans) have to contend with the fact that their Universe is actively being destroyed around them, seeing as The Slayers destruction of it was outside the Scratch's reset power to fix. They use Sburb to escape the dying Universe, and begin their Sburb game.

Meanwhile, the Humans and Trolls meet up. Much fun is had, but then they realize that The Slayer is still alive and chasing them, since he completely destroyed the Trolls Sburb Session and could also follow the Green light to the source and their meeting place. They escape, using new powers to safely traverse the Void and head for the Alpha Humans Sburb Session.

They arrive, and that is where Homestuck is now! A lot of crazy things happen, and it would take another two posts to explain.

Hey there! Yeah, it can be difficult to find fanart of the Alpha trolls, because they are the most recent set of charecters, on top of sort of being 1-shots, with a few exceptions. Plus, Tumblr, where a fair amount of the fanart comes from, dislikes the vast majority of them for some reason?

Anyway.

I'd love to help, but I just went through my reaction folder, and I don't have a single Kurloz pic! I could go looking for some, if you like, but all I really do is google Kurloz, look there, and then hit up some of the major art sites like zerochan and what not. I'll keep an eye out, of course, and might drop any cool pics I find in your profile sometimes, if you'd like!

Eh, that's what I do too. Zerochan is great, usually. I wish there was more to the alphas... Oh well. I guess you can't shove that many characters into a story without losing quality, and there's already a ton of characters involved as is.

nothin much just recapping what we were talking about yesterday. alright so you wanted to know why i was a brony, its because i just enjoyed the show, as in it was enjoyable show to watch... basically i literally only watch the show i dont do any sort of the cringy **** its associated with. now past that you hate horses... because theyre retarted and stuff... lastly i know generics about home stuck from its wiki... from about 2 years ago. thats about it if i recall. oh wait yea theres an 8 man DnD game on FJ going on and youre the DM.

alright so to reiterate why i (generally) hate other bronys (just only the ones public about being one, as in if theyre quiet about it like me then idgaf), its because im 19 so i just finished high school a year ago, and there were other people who started to like the show when it was getting popular in around late 2011 (i started to watch in early 2011 but i STILL didnt tell anyone about it), but it wasnt even that bad untill there was this one kid who i swear to god was autistic to some degree, but was also rather agressive as a person too, who apparently generally could act normal around girls but once the girl got close enough he apparently showed them legit pony porn he made and wanted to know their opinion on it, and because of this one time at a party a year ago i was getting with this girl i liked for quite some time and the group of 8 people at the party (i am genuinely friends with most of them, except the girl i liked)wanted to play drunk truth or dare... which we did... and a question was brought up that every one had to answer... it was "which is the most embarrasing show youre willing to admit you watch"... and when it came to me i was hesitant to answer... but i did after a minute or so... and lets say this man quickscoped cockblocked me from hundereds of miles away.

It's a webcomic authored by Andrew Hussie. It started as an interactive adventure, with readers able to make suggestions through the Site to further the story. This continued on for some time, but was discontinued after the 1st year, coinciding with the End of Act 3.
The story revolves around 4 thirteen year old kids who play a video game. The game starts out much like a Reality-Based Sims, with one kid able to edit the furniture and structure of another kids house, but things quickly got out of hand. One by one, the game sucks them into an alternate dimension, where they must complete a Quest to save their Lands, planets designed uniquely around each of them. By fighting, solving puzzles and exploring, the kids level up, getting new powers as they go.

However, strange as this game is, theirs is stranger still. Outside influence not normally found in the game begins to leak in, affecting their quests, powers and goals. Now they have to make new friends, finish their quests, and fight the big bad guy, a powerful player who has gone rogue.

It's very long, with a word counter higher than all the Harry Potter books put together, and is still updating to this day.

Trolls are one of the outside influences. They are aliens from another dimension who can chat to our heroes through instant messaging. Trolls do not have parents, technically, instead having a more insect/symbiotic relation with various creatures of their home world. Instead, Trolls have a complicated alphabet of 1000000's of letters, and when a Troll is born, a letter is assigned to them. There are so many letters that a Troll will almost never find a living Troll with the same letter as them, but occasionally a Troll will find historical records of a dead Troll who shared their letter. These "Ancestors" are supposed to be Role Models for the young troll to aspire to.

The Ancestors are actually Trolls who played the game before our trolls, and are presented in their teens when shown as charecters. So, there are 3 types of Trolls you can see.

Troll A, who played the game first, Troll B, who played the game after Troll A lost, and Troll C, who is the older, alternate dimension version of Troll A that Troll B looks up to.

Terezi is the kid, Latula is the teen and Neophyte Redglare is the adult.

So Latula is Troll A, Terezi is Troll B, Neophyte Redglare is troll C.

For more information, there are two different planets the Trolls live on. One inhabited by the teen Latula, that was for the most part peaceful.
A more violent world is brought into existence when Latula and her group lose the game and reset it. On this world, Terezi plays the game, and Latula grows up to be the Neophyte Redglare.

Oh hey, sure! I'm just making the characters at the moment. I've got sprites and stuff but I wanted to get all of the characters, how they look, all their information and how I want the story's pacing to go before I jump into it. A lot of fanventures suffer from terrible planning in my opinion. That or the pacing is incredibly off. (In the original comic, John doesn't get any messages for like 23 pages and in a lot of fanventures they're almost already in their land by then.)

Hey, just a tiny question since you ARE an explain account, how exactly does ectobiology work? I kind of get it but I'm not quite able to draw a conclusion as to how it works.

ectobiology is pretty simple to understand once you get the mechanics of the Appearifier sorted. When you use the Appearifier, the item is brought to you. However, if this would cause a Paradox in any way, you merely get a Slime Copy of the Item instead. Copying living things allows you to get the DNA from the slime, which allows you to clone that DNA and make a baby from it.
John appearified Nanna (His and Jades Mom), Jades Grandpa, (Their Dad) Bro (Rose and Daves Dad) and Mom (Their Mom), making the baby clones of them. (Jane, Jake, Dirk and Roxy)

Using the DNA, he then recombined it to pair Jane/Jake and Dirk/Roxy, ending up with John, Jade, Dave and Rose.

The babies were then packed on the meteors, brought to Earth through the Reckoning portal, and raised as normal from there.

The Scratch reset that journey, instead switching the approximate time-destinations of each kid. This changed the future of earth entirely.

So,
Dirk + Roxy are Dave + Rose's parents and Jane + Jake are John and Jade's parents biologically, which is what made sense to me.

And post scratch, that's just reversed? Or is it JUST their positions, and Dirk and Roxy etc are still biologically the parents.

Dirk and Roxy are still the biological parents of Rose and Dave, no matter the reality. However, because Rose and Dave landed before Roxy and Dirk, the two are considered parental figures by Roxy and Dirk because they are older,
