Best idea is to be a complete boyscout. Email, usb and hard copy.
Being more prepared then necessary can't hurt, and not having exactly what new interviewer wants can.
This days I have all the resumes on my tablet. Plugging the usb in and copying the resume it to the desktop gives candidate a few seconds to compose and calm down.

Best option is email.
And no, paper copy is not the best option, because then when I compile data to send to the Boss, I have to manually type the crap in instead of just copy paste relevant parts.
Its a huge hassle.

Of course you would send it by email first. That's how you get the interview. Then at the interview you give him a paper copy, if he hasn't printed one out himself. Anyways, that's my experience with my jobs, not that I have alot.
