As an overall artist, yes (in my opinion). Remember Kanye is a producer and beatmaker, as well as a rapper, video director, singer and fashion designer. Kanye came into the game by producing mainly for Jay-Z. Kanye's debut album, The College Dropout is to a lot of people who knows hip hop at least top 20 of all time (production wise top 10), and it was entirely produced by himself. With every solo album he has released, he has changed the style of mainstream hip hop, and is a pioneer when it comes to fashion. No, Kanye is by no means the best MC out there. But as an artist he's one of the greatest. But hey, that's just my opinion. Don't get butthurt about it.
