Let me inform you of something my kind sir:
First and most likely foremost on your agenda is that the internet does not care about the real world, about politics, about the health care bill, or about whether or not this is a free country, so you won't get much attention talking about it, except negative.
Second and foremost on my agenda is that the health care bill is a joke. This few redeeming aspects of it were stripped away to the point that it hardly helps anyone. There is in fact a way that one can get the full "benefits" of it with paying what it says you should. If you don't have health care fro a private company and you don't pay for the health care from the government, the IRS will fine you but this periodic fine is less than...

the amount that it costs to pay for the insurance. Since the insurance is available to everyone regardless of preexisting conditions, once one is in need of the insurance they can just start paying for it. Yes this really works and I know someone doing it. If you really want to know when this country stopped being free you should direct your attention away from the government and towards the companies and the consumers (that's you). The endless stream of endless options provided by every type of company out there, big and small, have so satisfied and pacified the masses that they no longer care about all the bullshit happening. They are plenty happy to just go along reading about skating dogs and looking at lolcats.

Don't go trying to pin the blame on someone else, that's just adding to the problem. If you're not part of the solution then you're part of the problem. Sure any one person is just a very small part of the problem but part of it nonetheless. People are overwhelmed with laziness because life is so fucking easy, everything is simplified to a few mechanical, repeatable tasks that are so easy they are getting continuously outsourced to robots and Asia. Don't go running around bitching if you're not going to help. But, I digress.

Companies wouldn't be able to control a mans freedom without a government.
