With most modern metal I usually love the guitar, drum, bass parts, but the vocals fuck it over for me.

Not many people really talk about the music I like. /mu/ is just a most obscure band contest, and the music board here is mostly weird metal genres and dubstep

Yeah, I mean, I went through liking /mu/, but only because I recently found out the obsession they had with Neutral Milk, and being a very sheltered child, shall we say, I thought it was awesome people actually knew the band, but then it got boring.... and yeah, the music channel on here, is always just "any good dubstep songs?" or "Prog metal/TOOL/DEATH METAL GUIZE" so yeah, I mean, I wish there was a better music board out there as well.

What genres do you like then man?

I actually like Tool though haha.
I like mostly Rock, Alternative, and Indie. But I can get into anything.
I like music with actual instruments, I can't get into electronic stuff.
Also nothing too heavy, I like to relax when listening to music

I like indie as well... hmm, let me think.... Mogwai, City and Colour, Bon Iver, Marble Sounds... you might like some of them :)

Punk, real posthardcore, and emo (and I mean like, the 80's bands from Washington, liek Fugazi, and Sunny Day Real Estate, not modern shit like black veil brides or whatever the fuck they're called), A lot of indie, lots of acoustic music, and just, rock in general I guess. Oh, and some cultural music, like, sometimes, I listen to oriental music or traditional cultural music, as it's nice to hear at times I think
