Yeah open beta is very much done, i agree. However things like the way items are handed out and the likes are still not 100% certain i would think. But calling it an unfinished product is an exaggeration i guess, not wrong since there might/will be some balancing changes, bugfixes and the likes but as you pointed out not really justified either. What i meant was more that having them play for a month before the patching arrives might lead to them to get bored in particular because they haven't gotten a taste to the regular introduction of new heroes that will (i hope and think at least) happen as well as the permanent rewards in form of items and the likes.

this is just a question, but aint open betas also a way to check servers, and to have it tested with alot of players? to see if the servers can handle the maount of people and stuff like that?

That's the main purpose. That's also why they made the open beta free to play (other than attracting players to the game of course). What i wrote is i guess an addition to that. It's mainly server testing with maybe a bit of fine tweaking. That may still make a difference to players, in particular because it serves to give an impression on what to expect from the developers. Bugs and balance issues not being adressed pre release will give those who had bigger issues with them reason to believe that the developers don't care about them that much and might turn them away from buying the game. So primarily its the server testing but its also to get a bigger amount of feedback i think.
