A big enough fan of any band would do that for their idols, and you're going to find that in any group. I know how much we all love Bieber, but remember that his fans shaved their heads and cut themselves for this guy (yes I know it started as a hoax, but some still did it regardless). You'll have Pokemon fans who will vehemently defend the merit of pokemon being amazing and would gladly do some things others would not be proud of if it meant gaining access to a particular pokemon, or a shiny. You have some within Feminist movement who has people claiming that the country should aim for misandry instead of equality, and would enjoy nothing more than chopping off the testicles of all guys, and ignore all dissenters. You have the console wars where flame wars could rage on for days about which console is better or more fun, with fans that would gladly trample a pile of puppies to be the first to get the newest, shiniest gadget and be the "first". You have people that unwaveringly believe that they must have the best deal because then it can save them money for a future purchase or purpose (in reference to Black Friday in America), and some would have no problem bludgeoning someone else for that TV that was on sale. TL;DR No matter what the topic, no matter which side or how many side it has, you're going to find some people whose devotion goes above and beyond what one would consider normal. #27
