WW HD Was good in my opinion, the faster sailing and the tingle access to the miiverse made getting pictures for the sculptures so much easier. And the upgraded Pictograph box that let you hold 12 pics instead of only 3. Oh god was that good...

hm, that is wind waker hd on the wii u.
it is the most graphically advanced Zelda ever made, seeing as it is
the first one to be displayed in 1080p. the lighting is great, the colors are super crisp.
it looks heaps better than twilight princess.
I once played twilight princess on an HDTV and I wanted to gouge my eyes out.
couldn't bring myself to play it, is how bad it was.

I agree, Twilight Princess or something like Majora's Mask would have been better.
However, I don't think it was simply that they wanted to remake it, so much as it seems they're trying to port every LoZ game to be playable on current-gen Nintendo systems, including Wii U, 3DS, and the eShop on both systems. Wii and DS games don't need a remake/port since they can still be played, and since WW was the largest main LoZ title for GameCube, I think it made sense.

Nintendo isn't doing the best right now, so if a remake helps them I'm fine with it.
