You could try Jango Radio. Lame name, sure, but it's free with no ads and unlimited skips. I never used it in a year or two though, so I'm not 100% sure if the song matchups are good or not.

I heart radio is better. Free and doesn't pause your shit for ads. Limited skips tho, but that's not usually a problem because it always plays good music.

I'll have to look into that.

Even with Pandora One you have limited skips, but it's most likely due to the fact that they pay for every song that they play.

Heck, bring it back to Fairly Odd Parents; I didn't even mind most of the early episodes with Poof I've seen, and the first live action movie was actually genuinely funny and charming in moments (just certain things didn't translate well, like Crocker's "FAIRY GOD PARENTS!" spaz that looked stupid as fuck in live action, and the fact that the main fairies were CGI, but then the other fairies were all actual actors - I think they should either go all the way and make them all CGI, or go the opposite direction and make them all live action - not a mix of both)
I haven't watched a many of the really latest Fairly Odd Parents

I tried watching one of the latest episodes of Spongebob, and something just didn't sit right with me. Everything felt stilted and forced.
And I'm not one of those types who are like "man, everything when I was growing up was good and now it's all shit" - I still love playing new Pokemon games, I liked the new Evil Dead, I loved the new version of Scooby Doo when the old 60's version just feels crappy in comparison when looking back
I think I should give a couple more episodes a go before I make a final decision on it. But it was just seemed so bad.

Man, the new Spongebobs are just weird. Every episode introduces some strange one-off character and Spongebob is always doing some musical number. It's like they're not able to come up with a decent plot that involves the characters they already have anymore so they have to keep making up new ones.

I don't know which new version of Scooby-Doo you're referring to, but I did enjoy What's New Scooby-Doo (and that catchy as fuck theme song) when I was a kid.

What's New Scooby Doo was pretty good, I watched that as well as a kid (but my first introduction to the series was reruns of the original 60s version)
I'm talking about one of the latest ones called 'Scooby Doo! Mystery Incorporated.' - it lasts for 2 seasons and actually has a story arc, with character subplots that ends in the second season, rather than the originals "mystery of the week with no plot" set up
The main complaint I've heard about it is that Shaggy and Velma are in a relationship at the start of the series that people thought was weird - but it was okay.

The episode of Spongebob I watched had Plankton break out of prison, and he hears Spongebob singing a song about the Krabby Patty formula (with the ingredients censored out by request of Mr. Krabs) so Plankton tries to get him to tell him the actual lyrics because of "artistic integrity" but Spongebob seems to think that Plankton wants to start a band, and they end up recruiting Patrick and Squidward too. I stopped watching at that point because it just seemed odd and the way the characters acted were kind of misplaced and unlike what I remember.

Yeah I also started with the original Scooby-Doo. I loved it, but looking back at it, it wasn't very good. I've never seen the Mystery Inc, but I've heard of it and heard it was actually pretty good.

And yeah, shit like that is just weird in Spongebob. It's gotten kinda like Family Guy where some of the characters have changed from what they were originally.

And yeah, I used to love the original Scooby Doo. I had 'Which Witch is Which?' recorded on VHS and it was one of the things I would watch and then rewind and then watch again over and over (this includes such things as the first Pokemon movie of which I had the awesome yellow VHS - the one childhood object I truly regret losing , Fox and the Hound, Aladdin, and Oliver & Company)

It might be because I skipped a couple seasons... If I had just watched it all from the start again, the change might have been a little more subtle.
Like with Family Guy - I don't think it was just one episode where Peter suddenly became as stupid as he is, or Brian became the douche that he is; it kinda slowly happened. So the change would be less jarring if I had done it that way.

True, it is gradual.I kept watching even though it was clearly dipping in quality, but after a while I stopped and thought "why does almost every episode have some new weird looking character in it?" And the storylines seem too "big" for Spongebob these days. Like it used to be about something simple like "Squidward tries a Krabby Patty" or "Spongebob wants to get into the Salty Spitoon." Now a good portion of episodes seem to have somewhat of an adventure to it, and it just doesn't work in that kind of show.

It's all good, brother. If you ever want to learn more about military vehicles and weapon systems just google (vehicle/weapon system) TM or FM. They're openly available to the civilian populace and you can likely score a job on a Military installation. In any case, I get how you feel, the military is pretty alien to people who aren't in, we use a fuckton of acronyms and weird shit that seems second nature to us but confuses everybody else, even when you go through BCt you still have some learning to do because they don't teach a lot of that stuff in basic. Shit, I could even teach you how to operate a Stryker ICV. It's easy so long as you don't have somebody telling you how to do it by the book using the technical terminology. For example, would you understand it if somebody said to "turn on the auxiliary power source" as opposed to "see that thing right there? yeah, make it horizontal." that's how I learned everything, going hands on, and I'm still pretty new.

Pic related, the inside of a Stryker. Shit looks complicated as fuck and I don't even know what half those switches do. And there's even more controls and levers and shit that's not in the picture.

Wow, that comment was a rambling mess. The job on an installation thing, if you end up looking for work with military vehicles like repairing them and such, it helps to have a lot of that knowledge beforehand.
