User avatar #17 - girlygirlygirl (07/02/2012) [-]
Didn't say that at all... I was simply saying that Americans tend to fear alot of things that they do not understand. Neither I nor harasai said communism was a good idea. He simply stated that Americans feared it...which caused the Red Scare.
#18 - jeeptrails (07/02/2012) [-]
It should be feared, it ruins countries.
User avatar #338 - Fgner (07/03/2012) [-]
Democracy and republic ruins countries actually. Look up the history of our governmental system, all the countries fall in a few hundred years from the horrendous system. Easily corrupted, easily toppled, and dies with the morality of the people.

User avatar #24 - jokersaysamuseme (07/02/2012) [-]
Alright, I'm not very familiar with communism myself. So, do the research, present your evidence and I will happily accept your statement that communism ruins countries. I am not saying it does or it doesn't, I hardly know anything about it.
#23 - Xepheros (07/02/2012) [-]
Pro-tip, look up Sweden before talking shit about socialism. One of the most peaceful countries in the world, as well as one of the best health care systems in the world - and it's public.
User avatar #336 - Fgner (07/03/2012) [-]
I'm fine with socialism, if it weren't for it being the U.S. I've lived here all my life and I know what I'm saying when I say:
If we had a socialist economy, nothing would ever get done, ever. Everyone would be lazy asses and lay around on the computer all day. Americans (I'm sorry but it's true 90% of the time) are spoiled little bitches when it comes to self-motivation, initiative, and doing what's right.

Sweden is badass though, I've got to say that. And I love your prison system, brilliant work.
User avatar #37 - daburger (07/03/2012) [-]
Yes, but look up the population of Sweden and look at the two economies. The U.S. is waaaaay bigger than Sweden and has a different economy that relies on different things. Just because something works somewhere doesn't mean it'll work somewhere else. Not talking shit, just saying.
#229 - Xepheros (07/03/2012) [-]
Oh I know that. That's precisely why I'm against globalism. My comment was directed at the morons that seem to think it "ruins countries" and "doesn't work". I believe that it would work in the US too if each state became autonomous and decided to implement it on the state level. It would probably not work on the federal level though.
User avatar #386 - daburger (07/03/2012) [-]
Oh I totally agree. Look at Massachusetts, the Republican candidate for President this year made socialized healthcare in that state when he was governor and it completely works. Federal programs suck (ex. TSA, EPA, IRA).
User avatar #20 - harasai (07/02/2012) [-]

1. Yes, I'm from America

2. I was born in Alexandria, Egypt and my aunt and several of the female relatives in my family proudly CHOOSE to wear the burqa to protect their decency and not have men look at them in any other way than friendly. It is a woman's choice to wear it in the religion of Islam, such that my mother doesnt wear it.

3. AMERICA believes that state and religion should be separate. Doesnt mean that everyone has to follow that belief. I believe in a separation of religion and law as well, but to a certain extent.

The reason I got defensive in my previous post is that you're quick to judge the new president as an extremist who will bring tyranny and destroy women's rights and instill extremist sharia law, then you compare him to Hitler. What you fail to do is mention how he is electing a FEMALE vp and another Christian Vp. One of his biggest concerns is women's rights. He uses Islam as a motive for more compassionate ruling. For example he threatened to fire his head of security for making soldiers stand outside a mosque for 2 hours in 104 degree weather while he prayed and such. Being a Muslim, the people know that he will be a KIND and PEACEFUL man. Get it?

See this is where you go full retard, by directly comparing Islamic law, (which was culturally created by the way, the Quran doesn't have laws, rather guidelines to living the best way), to Hitler's regime leading the Arian union. Islam does not want to exterminate any race, it does not have anything against Judaism or Christianity, as a matter of fact you cannot be a Muslim unless you believe in Jesus and Abraham. Islam stresses peace and acceptance, and until people stop fucking using Fox news as their fact source and pick up a FUCKING book, this argument will never be won, so don't waste my time.

Just stop embarrassing yourself and comparing Muhammad Mursi to Hitler because you sound like a fucking idiot.

first of all calm your tits man

second of all you missed the whole point , example you me and someone else are running a country i vote to punch you in the balls , the second person agrees so acording to what you're saying we are allowed to punch you in the balls because the MAJORITY wants it that way

also you are the fucking reason why the left is sometimes frowned upon you elitist dick so what if they believe in jesus i don't care , think about it with all the gay rights commotion going on in america (i'm assuming thats where you're from) why's that? BECAUSE ITS IN THE BIBLE , and i'm shure that sharia has some outdated laws to

i hope you go on a vacation to egypt one day and your wife is forced to run around in a burqa
