Stuff that makes you think
Germany invaded the USSR secretly, they had trade deals and even military agreements. Stalin thought Hitlar was hit buddy :/
Oh btw that was and remains the largest invasion force like evah
Both USSR and Nazi Germany were the ones who started WWII by invading Poland, and both of them wanted to conquer the world. That's why they were "buddies"
and because both of them were socialistic states
Stalin was preparing to attack Germany in 1941, so he gathered lots of troops and technique at the western borders of the USSR, but Hitler attacked first. Stalin didn't expected it.
Actually, WWII started when England and France declared war on Germany. They declared war on Germany because Germany invaded half of Poland.
England and France claimed that they had earlier made a secret defence treaty with Poland, which nobody else knew about. According to this treaty England and France were obliged to declare war on Germany for invading Poland.
What I find very puzzling is that this treaty in no way gave England and France any obligation to declare war on the Soviet Union which 14 days later invaded the other half of Poland. A strange treaty indeed...... Just as if this just was an excuse to declare a war on Germany. After WWII the Soviet Union got to keep their half of Poland, and rule it over the rest of Poland. To bad for the Poles and the Germans.
No I don't believe he was prepared at all,
when Stalin found out he was
and was bearly seen for like a week..
And the western part of Russia is where everything is..
Id like to see sources before I commence name calling!
That's links with info for you to read.
And if you want my personal point of view on this situation, then here's what I've got:
I'm Ukrainian, and I have relatives who live in western Ukraine. In that place where the Soviet-Nazi border was situated.
From their words, in 1941 in this region appeared enormous amount of Red Army troops. They were not building defensive structures, but what they did is demining the borderline, building airfields, gathering tanks, and etc. No one knew what's going on, and even soldiers themselves were saying that they were just "ordered" to do this.
When the 3rd Reich unexpectedly attacked, they easily destroyed soviet troops, which were basically defenseless. Plus I need to mention that lots of soldiers were surrendering to Germans.
There are multiple reasons for this:
they were afraid of repeating the scenario of Finnish war in 1939;
they were oppressed Ukrainians, Belorussians, and others, who were forced to serve;
they were pro-imperialistic Russian nationalists, who hated Soviet Union;
and of course those, who simply hated Stalin.
After Stalins paranoia kicked in and he got rid of a stupid amount of the senior officers there was a severe lack of good leadership, then again most desertions/surrenderings happened around Ukraine, the places the Soviet regime milked the most dry.
I dunno man I havnt read anything suggesting the Soviets knew about the likelyhood of an invasion.
Ill look into it though, just so many reasons for why that sounds unlikely
Hitler didn't want to conquer the world, he attacked Poland since Poland's army was genociding and raping the Germans within Poland, Hitler kept making concussive offers to trade the land which was prior German territory(with ethnic Germans) all before this. But what the Polish Army suddenly started doing in Poland to the Germans was what made Hitler call an invasion.

Theyre not bikinis. Your boobs will bounce out of a bikini if you run in one. Their clothes are performance tights they dont move. And youre swimming forwards, the only time youre at risk of slipping out of your top is if the water force is upwards not downwards

Plenty of good shit has come from Kickstarter, so has plenty of bad shit. But considering how active the developers are, and how much they already have done, I have faith.

WE WUZ GERMANS AND SHIT
It wouldn't be a nightmare moving them, remember, before 1916 (Phosphorus rounds become widely used) Zeppelins outmatched planes in every way (Could fly higher, didn't burst easily, the planes sucked anyway), and were used to transport supplies/bomb runs, etc. There's even a very cool story where one Zeppelin went from Germany all the way through Africa on one straight run. And they did good in Africa with Vorbeck until 1916 also. While they didn't have nearly as many as say France (who drew a ton from Africa), or England (who, despite massive resources in Africa, went with India and the Middle East, half due to prejudice, half due to logistics), they had some.
The German fleet was pretty stuck in Europe though.
And Zeppelins couldnt carry many people, moving just about a hundred soldiers and equiptment would take ages.
They wanted to move troops into Africa with them actually, and supplies to help the Guerilla war down there, but they knew it would be ineffective.
They did send a Zeppelin down with medical supplies, but took it back for reasons. But a ton of medical supplies is a lot of medicine. A ton of soldiers are just about 30 men of propper weight and all.
