Well like in piano or guitar you can very easily strum or hit multiple notes very quickly with just your hands.

In the Jedi world the force is like using an infinite number of hands and taking out the only thing that slows us down, which is the distance.
If you have 2 hands you could easily pick up 2 pieces of glass instantly if you were right there right?
So if you had 100 hands you could do the same couldn't you?

And it WOULD make more sense to throw it as a block of air considering thats A LOT less mental work.

I'm no Jedi obviously, but to me that seems like the telekinetic equivalent of slamming your fist one piano and dragging it to from high to low.

With your own hands? You couldn't do it.
But with an infinitely fast, infinitely numerous, infinitely long, number of hands that I have to control with my mind? Just scoop em all up and chuck em. You'd need some pretty strong force to do it. But compared to other shit jedis do? EZ
