Well the thing is, a catholic store doesn't have to sell Condoms. But if they DO sell condoms, they need to sell them to everybody equally. The primary issue is that if enough people decide "We're not going to serve blacks" then there's not going to be anywhere for them to go. Your right to serve who you want ends where the rights of other people to live and work without discrimination begins. And the government passes laws and regulations for the public good. We don't care if you, as a property owner, doesn't want cats on it. Cats aren't people and it doesn't really hurt the public good to have them. Now if you end up with a thousand cats with rabies, that's something that might harm the public good, and infringe on the rights of other people to NOT get rabies from pissed off felines.  historically, discrimination was mandated by government for-profit businesses tend not to piss on their customers, you don't make much money that way #97 -
