I know what you mean. I think it mainly comes down to the mood you are in. Yeah I'll admit that some parts are just so boring that I would rather go shot myself. But when am in the mood to learn of military theories, logistics, espionage, and other stuff I'll definitely pick it up and read it with some other works by some dead people.
