 What do you say to the people who've been "hanging in there" for almost two years and see no improvement in their lives? #67 -
anon (12/17/2015) [-] I went through basic with a lot of people comparing me to others and assuming I wouldn't make it(including my own father). I did and I didn't even notice how much I changed until my own mother walked past me trying to find me. I've been in college for a little over three years and based on my knowledge I felt I learned nothing. I did a paper for my finance class and the teacher offered me a job. Confidence is key you can have all the knowledge in the world but it does you no good if you don't believe in yourself. What do I say? I say things just wont happen, if you're only hanging in there doing nothing after two years. Two years is a sign that some effort needs to be taken into the equation of life for hope and change. Now this effort could be changed in either the way someone thinks (cognitive), or how they are behaving in life. Yeah if someone is sitting in the same sad apartment for 2 years and just goes to work and talks to no one, then i say "Change your actions." Hanging in there is only a temporary solution to get yourself back into life, because in the end change must occur. Like what happened with OP, I said "...learn from learn from it (the event) to better yourself in the future." The improvement sadly cant just happen, but after you start to hang in there to the point that now you are stable, such as you know you're not having anymore extreme negative thoughts, you change or rethink of life. | ||
