| Ah cmon dude it's christmas, leave off the lad. On a serious note, do none of you remember high school, how much you bullied that one lad (or from the sound of a lot of you, how much you got bullied, you sad sacks) and how shit you felt because of it after the fact. This is hard to convey because so many of you are still in school or whatever, but that bullying shit will haunt you. I wasn't a bully as such, but I took part in bullying 1 particular kid, and he had a fucking HORRIBLE time. It haunted me for so long after I left, I recently found him on facebook and the shit he told me fucked me up. Long story short, y'all do that to joshlol. It's all fun and games but at the end of the day it's fucking emotional abuse, for absolutely no reason apart from riding some other fucker's ballsac. You should be better than that. TotalBiscuit is worth my time, luckily. Content Patch sums up notable gaming news to keep me up to date with little effort on my part.

Companies that try to stomp out criticism are in for major backlash.
I also watch Retsupurae, as I get to see old obscure games and also laugh hysterically.
They do a series called "Wrongpuraes", which is what I'm referring to with old obscure games.
Apart from that I watch videos by Jesse Cox, and the rest of my subscriptions are mostly science stuff like SciShow, Crash Course, MinutePhysics, etc.

Jesse does Let's Play type videos, mostly, and what I like about his content is that he has a very strong interest in the lore and story of games. This is something I too have interest in.
As such, he plays in a way that I would likely play in many RPGs or story-focused games.

Or something as major as music! Have you heard the music in Ecstatica? It's awful! Yet in Terraria? Fantastic.
Terraria really has some good sound assets. The sound of the pickaxe hitting stone makes such a lovely "tink".
And voice acting. Have you heard bad voice acting? Playthrough Amnesia The Dark Descent and you'll enjoy the voice acting. Play A Machine for Pigs and you'll realise how terrible voice acting CAN be. If that game had better voice acting, it could have enhanced the experience so much more. (The game was trash, though)

Of course, each genre of game has me put more emphasis on different factors.
Something like Fire Emblem, a turn-based strategy RPG, has me look hard at level design, story, and sound. Art is lesser, and there is really no reason to need tight controls on a turn-based game.
I have played a lot of games though, and worked on a few, so my perspective is a lot more critical than others I suppose
Of course, each genre of game has me put more emphasis on different factors.
