Unless you have melon bugspray they usually do. It's becoming a huge problem and I think the origin of this pest came from black people.

It's got nothing to do with classic rock disliking another genre. It's got to do with the fact that she's a talentless fatass bitch who seems to think she's better than everyone else and charges people to listen to her garbage.

Yes, I believe the song "Reptile" was actually made to be the theme song to Mortal Combat. It was featured on the commercials and the game itself, if I'm correct.

Oh, that one :U I don't listen to it much.

By the way Skrillex = Sonny Moore from the band From First to Last
User avatar #33 - thecharliesheen (03/25/2013) [-]
I remember when 'From First to Last' was really popular here. Had all the kind of rocker kids in a mini-frenzy that he was making electronic music at first. They all went around swearing that "they heard him first". Couldn't just acknowledge his multi-talent as an artist.
User avatar #34 - leglesslegolegolas (03/25/2013) [-]
He switched to electronic music as a solo artist because he had to have surgery done on his throat, to remove two cysts. The operation left him unable to do scream vocals. He can still sort of sing though.
User avatar #35 - thecharliesheen (03/25/2013) [-]
Aye, I've heard screaming can take a hefty toll on one's lungs and throat. I always wondered how female screamers did it, since their vocal chords aren't as durable. It can be faked in studio, but I always wondered how they pulled of concerts.

I'll take a look tomorrow.

How do you feel about Korn?
User avatar #41 - thecharliesheen (03/25/2013) [-]
I enjoyed their stuff a lot as a kid, I also got a large kick out of the lead singer. I hear he's funny. He's a nice guy. Love Song was a good song.
User avatar #11 - thecharliesheen (03/25/2013) [-]
Okay, have you ever sat down and actually LISTENED to her lyrics? I mean LISTENED. Over half of them consist of her either
a. calling people jealous
b. calling other girls "hoes" for no reason
c. listing off reasons as to why she is so "great".

I can't listen to conceded artists, it RUINS it for me. Not to mention, she has absolutely NO talent. At all. None. She doesn't write her own lyrics, she doesn't sing, dance, or do anything of any worth. Any body with a voice can do what she does.
User avatar #12 - leglesslegolegolas (03/25/2013) [-]
-She and about 43353457867567855458 other artists do that.
-*conceited
-I've seen her dance, and she sings live. RedOne produces the music part of her songs, but I haven't seen any proof that she does/doesn't write. If she doesn't though, than can you really call her conceited if it isn't really her calling girls hoes?
User avatar #13 - thecharliesheen (03/25/2013) [-]
*sing. She doesn't sing. She... I have a real difficulty describing the the fuck it is she does. Gargles? Angrily.. grunts, maybe?
"Rap" artists do that. Their obnoxious new plague term "hater" is a fucking disease to society. No respectable artist ever says/uses that term.
If you don't think that she's full of herself, then you clearly don't even listen to her lyrics and are just mesmerized by the beat. I can honestly say that were it not for her producer, she would still be selling her body on the street for money like the garbage she is.
User avatar #14 - leglesslegolegolas (03/25/2013) [-]
Go listen to Starships before hating dude. That song better represents what she normally puts out. Stupid Hoe was supposed to be horrible. Also you're right. I only like Starships for the beat. I can hear the autotune near the end, but who cares? In my professional opinion, you're just an ignoramus latching on to the nearest hate bandwagon. First it was cool to hate Bieber, now it's cool to hate Minaj. Go listen to your AC/DC. Their beat is nothing but a metronome and their singer sounds like a black preacher. Classic rock is extremely boring.
User avatar #15 - thecharliesheen (03/25/2013) [-]
There it is again. "Hating". Eugh. Lets me know what kind of person you are by using the terms "hating", "Ignoramus", and "professional opinion" (albiet I laughed my ass off at the last one, fucking classic.)
I have heard that song, and it made me want to rip my eardrums out and stamp out the impurity.
Secondly, "professional opinion"... Really? Did you REALLY just type that? Really? That hurt to read. Really, it did.
Who even mentioned AC/DC?
But they do have more talent in their left finger than Nicki Minaj has stuffed up that fat ass of hers.

You are hilarious. Really, truly a comedian of fantastic lengths.
User avatar #16 - leglesslegolegolas (03/25/2013) [-]
olololololololololololol

Music is srs bsns guiz

Listen. There's fun music, and then there's serious music. Starships falls under the fun category. It's catchy, it has a good beat, and your brain secretly likes it.

I mentioned AC/DC because classic rock fans are the most common haters of popular music, because they're pissed off that their favorite 80s band doesn't have 250 million hits. Among other elitist reasons.
User avatar #17 - thecharliesheen (03/25/2013) [-]
Well you assumed wrong, my friend. While I do enjoy 80's music, I'm not one of the bitter ones. My hatred for Nicki Minaj is purely personal.

For example, while Beiber's music isn't exactly my "type", I will admit that he has talent as a singer and dancer. He earned his money, and deserves it. I dislike him as a person because of the way he acts.
In Nicki Minaj however, I can't even find one redeemable quality in her. Not one.

As for the theory of music having "fun" categories and serious ones, while that may be true, you are ENTIRELY off.
Dennis Leary makes "fun" music, as in it's a FUCKING JOKE. Nicki Minaj ACTUALLY believes the shit she spews, and it writing (although she doesn't technically write one fucking thing) it completely seriously.

As for the elitist shit you happen to be shooting out, it looks like you're the elitist, my friend. All you do is assume, and get angry that other people don't like the same artist you do.
User avatar #18 - leglesslegolegolas (03/25/2013) [-]
I am by no means a fan of Minaj. Most of her songs sound badly produced. I personally think that Starships is a fluke. I don't much care about her as a person, except that I wish she didn't have those plastic surgeries because she actually looked better before. If you want to attack an artist I actually am a fan of, take a look at Sonny Moore.
User avatar #25 - thecharliesheen (03/25/2013) [-]
Lost reply button. Still have no idea why it does that.

He has a few catchy songs, a few that I enjoyed driving too, but I think it's fair to say that anything with a decent amount of bass is good driving music. Haven't heard much from him in a long while however.
User avatar #26 - leglesslegolegolas (03/25/2013) [-]
Kill Everybody is probably my favorite song of his, along with First of the Year and Needed Change. His dubstep remixes are probably the best. He's one of my main inspirations for my own music.
User avatar #27 - thecharliesheen (03/25/2013) [-]
First of the year was pretty good, I remember a classmate showing me the video when I first heard it. It went from "RUN LITTLE GIRL RUN!" to "RUN PEDOPHILE RUN".

That made me laugh.

I actually like Katy Perry though
User avatar #21 - thecharliesheen (03/25/2013) [-]
I like Katy Perry because she's fun and bubbly and optimistic. She has a beautiful voice. Although her music style may not be my personal favorite, she's still very talented. Haven't seen anyone pull off blue hair quite as well as she does.
