bendertherobo (02/22/2013) [-] I will argue the points I can, though you have a few sound ones ] -This is true, however a good number of teens would at least consider just inducing a miscarriage, so at least an abortion is safe for the patient, and what they remove, based on development stage, can be put to good use for science. -I gave what I have been told is the reasoning for this in my reply to the original comment, feel free to look if you so desire. -At a younger age childbirth is extremely dangerous for the mother, and can kill her, so she has the right to preserve her own life, especially since younger mothers are more likely to miscarry or have a child with serious problems, so there is no guarantee, or really even a "safe" chance the child will survive. -This kind of blends with my previous point. -The cells that make a human a human are not incomparable to other cells at all, in fact, they are the direct link to all cells, since in its first stages the cells are all stem cells which through cellular signals have certain genes turned on or off to determine what type of cell it will become, if you look at a fetal stage of a human and chiken embryo, they are almost mirror images, it's our DNA which determines what happens to our cells. Like I said, all of your points were valid, it's just a matter of how you look at it, neither side is wrong really.  #1441
