This may blow your mind, but not everybody is as dumb as you are.

Well I think you are an idiot for calling the monster Frankenstien. It's like calling the guy clothed in green who wields the master sword zelda or calling any other pokemon pikachu.

Why is he not Frankenstein?
Frankenstein is not the doctor's first name, so why wouldn't it go on to Frankenstein if we're going to be black and white about it?
Generally when someone says Frankenstein, the common thought that goes in one's head is the beast as shown by this post existing , so why make it worse for the majority when you guys could just stop being hard-asses about it unless you're specifically talking about the story and characters of Frankenstein.
Your Zelda and Link analogy, while similar, doesn't apply to this scenario.

Because the majority can still be wrong. I mean a majority learned and still believe that Columbus thought the world was flat. Does that make it right? People think the worlds first camera was the one on the left even though that's not true, and actually some people think it's the first one in the making, which would make it really paradoxical because how can it be the first one in the making if a camera had to be made to take a picture of the first one being made.

Another thing to point out. People that don't even know what the Kuiper belt is still want pluto to be a planet. Those same people have also never heard of Ceres, Eris, Makemake, Haumea, Pallas, Juno, Vesta, but I don't hear anyone bitching about it them being planets. People who call the Frankenstien Monster, Frankenstien are the people who either never read Frankenstien or never even heard of who Mary Shelley is.

And then again. Why isn't the Banana named after the first person to have discovered it on their plantain plantation. Why isn't it called Gates instead of Microsoft. Why do we call them kleenex's if they aren't kleenex brand.

The majority isn't always right, they're just misinformed or ignorant half the time. Like we use literally when we don't literally mean literally.

It's not about being wrong or right, which is what you FJ people love.
It's not about technicalities at all.
It's about common speech. It's like if you were to go up to someone and give them shit for saying a phrase like "A whole nother" when it doesn't exist, yet is commonly used in speech every day.

Contrary to what you obviously believe, it is actually possible for the majority of people to be wrong. Also, contrary to what you obviously believe, that ignorance should be corrected and not allowed to degrade the definition of a word or shift a name to something else.

Take your destructive stupidity elsewhere, cockbite.

Oh trust me, I am MORE than aware of what the differences are in between the two games. The new stage builder, master and crazy orders, smash tour, 1080p visuals at 60 fps, 8 player smash, much more music, etc. I'm just saying that they're both considered Super Smash Brothers 4.

I liked that one too, but I don't think it has the variety or challenge of 3 or World

None of them beat Yoshi's Island though

I'm not sure what they're teaching you in common core now, but 5 or above in the singles digit always rounds up to the next ten up.

Besides, it's sort of huge when people are rounding in a way that nearly triples the population of non-cis people.

It doesn't matter what it rounds up to.
96 is still around 90, plain and simple.
#81 - cdroid (11/07/2014) [-]
I was explaining the basic math concept of rounding. Plain and simple, 5 or above rounds up. Putting that aside;

I already explained to you why it does matter. The entire movement for lbgt rights has always made percentages a big part of the discussion. I have to agree that population percentages does have some effect on the focus of the rest of the discussion.
Your rounding system manages to literally double and almost triple the population.
We're looking at 3.8% of the population that you're rounding off to 10%. This, as I have stressed over and over, nearly triples the figures we're looking at. That matters.

Nobody is fucking rounding.
We're discussing whether or not 96 is near 90.
If you have 90 dollars, you almost have 96 dollars. plain and fucking simple. Why is your head so stuck to a single subject?
#83 - cdroid (11/08/2014) [-]
Well, if we're not rounding then 96 is nowhere near 90. If I have 96 dollars and 62 cents, I wouldn't say that I have 90 dollars, I would say that I have 97 dollars or more likely that I have 100 dollars. I'm much closer to having 100 dollars than 90 dollars so it makes a lot more sense.

Because you're retarded.
If you look at the numbers on a number line, 96 is 90.
It doesn't matter what "you would say". Saying that 96 is not near 90 is flat out untrue.
What you're doing is rounding still, for literally no other reason than to try to make yourself right.
#85 - cdroid (11/08/2014) [-]
Okay, so let's not round. 96.2 isn't 90. Nor is it close if we're not rounding.
