my mistake on the apple

corn is pretty shit, wheat has way more energy plus what they had is nothing like modern day corn, they had that purple maize shit.

also wheat and barley were native to Anatolia in like 2000bc, but when farming happened people started trading until it was everywhere, just like how horses did not originate in Europe but they were bred and traded.

in eurasia crops/animals could be moved east to west without changing the climate too much. If you were an incan and tried to bring a potato to the Navajo that shit would rot and not grow

If we are talking about why did the Europeans have a technologic advantage over the natives, I don't think we have to look at the available crops (China has been one of the most advanced civilizations of all history and all they had was rice, which is far harder to grow than corn and wheat).
I think both natives and Europeans had the resources to thrive, but what natives of both north and south America didn't have was the need to constantly improve their technology in order to survive. America is way more generous than Europe and natives managed to survive and thrive with basic plantations, hunting a lot, and without the actual need to trade since they already had most of what they needed.

We verb-benders were a peaceful tribe.
But that all changed when the (grammatical) case-nation attacked.
