the fact that they're low-functioning vampries makes a much more interesting story than high-functioning zombies. but i suppose it's somewhere between as it's working on base instincts such as protect, destroy and fuck

yep.... And it is a bit slow... the Vampires act kind of zombie like but it is fucking awesome to read about how he trys to figure out how everything works. The ending is also superior to the movie.
