I do. That's why I'm able to enjoy the game right now.

Xbox one has 1080p. Most consoles have exclusive games and smooth gameplay. Xbox Live/PSN marketplace. Some consoles also have mod support and HD textures. You can also use a mouse on some consoles.
Everything you just said is bullshit. Then again, no point in arguing with an ignorant PC elitist. PS, I have a gaming PC and prefer to play most games on console.

XB Live and PSN are terrible. Admit it. Go on. If it goes down, good luck playing any game online. For me, if steam goes down for an update, I still have Uplay (though it sucks) and origin, or any standalone games with their own servers. Hell, I can even play counterstrike 1.6 as that doesn't need to run through steam for me. Also, have fun paying $60 a year to use the internet which you already pay for, on a console that you already payed for, for a game you already payed for.
1080p and 30 fps looks like crap, and I have reason to back it up. If I decide to play maximum resolution (say, 4k) but my computer can't handle that along with the game on ultra on all settings, I'd rather turn down the graphics settings to half that and 1080p to run at 60 fps (or above if there's no cap), simply because the game will look better optimized to play at a high fps (really how video games should be played) than a low one. Also, just having a nice resolution doesn't give you good graphics settings.
HD textures + "mods" for the consoles are illegal and are only ever available as DLC. Go figure! Pay more money why don't you!
Steam sales win. Pay 10$ for the Skyrim Legendary Edition (all DLC whoop) on an average sale day. Good luck finding sales like that on consoles. Also, I love not having 30+ discs to take care of! And, if I want a disc for PC, the game already starts out cheaper for more!
Never seen a mouse used on consoles. I understand it's possible, but at that point, why have a console? Might as well get a PC.
Not everything I said was bullshit, you're just butthurt that some people enjoy superior gaming and can't take a poorly spelt (on purpose) internet comment as a joke.

The only thing you really need to upgrade is the video card if you have a good processor, i got my FX 8350 8 core back in late 2012 and i hadn't had to upgrade it ever since because it still wrecks CPU intensive games like BF4. The only thing you need to upgrade every 2 or year and a half is the video card, which a mid range costs about 250sh that can play most games on ultra (PC SETTINGS NOT LOWLY CONSOLE SETTINGS) at REAL 1080p NOT SCALED. So go fuck yourself with a cactus.

You forgot the constant change in hardware requirements. I may not get all the benefits of a pc, but at least I dont have to spend a ton of money to upgrade my tower whenever a new game I like comes out. Also I suck at pc gaming, I can use controllers so much easier than remembering which key does what and accidentally pressing other ones. And yes, I know you can use controllers on pc games, but a lot of times it requires button mapping and its just too damn much work for me. I play a few quick games and Im back on funnyjunk.
#31 - deadfed (01/15/2015) [-]
Im borderline poor, that may work nice for some people but not me. Im also not a huge gamer, so my 360 suits my needs perfectly. Getting my computer, and my 360 were two pretty significant investments for me, and my computers got pretty shitty specs. My 360 has had no problems aside from running out of space, in which case I have a 32gb flashdrive and I transfer my downloaded games to my computer and put them back on when I want to play them. I couldnt be happier with it. The best game I can play on my pc is oblivion with medium settings.
#20 - thenez (01/15/2015) [-]
You dont have to spend a ton of money evrry time a game you like comes out.
I have had my custom pc for 2 years now, and it still runs most games on max settings. I put about $1500 into it, and my next upgrade will cost me less than $200, for another videocard to crossfire my current one with.
Today one could build something that gets the same performance as my computer for less than $900
#30 - thenez (01/15/2015) [-]
To be honest, I did spend a lot more on my computer than I should have.
I got a blu-ray drive, a solid state drive, a 4tb RAID 0 array, and this Asus Maximus V motherboard.
Probably could have just spent $1100-$1200 on it. Though I am not complaining, this thing plays everything, including every console game minus some consoles. (xbox 360, xbone, ps3, ps4, wiiu)

>spend a ton of money to upgrade my tower whenever a new game I like comes out
Oh you ignorant slut. I got a 500 dollar stock tower from best buy 4 years ago. It may not be able to play every game i want in glorious 1080p but it will still play the game and it wont look too bad.
>I can use controllers so much easier...but a lot of times it requires button mapping
Most, if not all games, are programmed to work with a controller nowadays. I can't think of a single game I own that doesn't have controller settings.
You ignorant, ignorant slut.
#40 - anonymous (01/15/2015) [-]
Well wouldn't the point of PC be to play all games in 1080p? If you pay $500 for something that can't play everything at high settings after a couple years that's pretty bad, seeing as you're demoting yourself to the same thing consoles basically are, but with a higher price tag.
And for controllers, a LOT of game aren't programed for controllers, even games that have console ports. I can give you a massive chunk of my Steam library that doesn't work with controllers, and even worse is that the games that don't have controller support are stealth games that work much better on analog movement.
#65 - fatbutler (01/15/2015) [-]
I wanted the PC because it would last longer than the 360, and i'd always have the capability to upgrade to the 1080p port, once I found a better source of income. And yes a lot of the older games for the Steam Library are boardmouse, but if i really cared enough to play the game i'd set the controller up.

I also cant just spend $500 dollars to get a decent tower, I have a fucking emachine I got at walmart for like $189. Obviously youve got more money to waste than others do, and yet you say you cant play all games in glorious 1080p. With a console the graphics are pretty much gonna stay the same. I get 1080p on my 360 with hdmi, but sometimes the game doesnt support 1080p. With the exception of lag, my console games get good enough framerate. Probably not perfect, but Im not a geek about it so what I do get is good enough for me. Fuck off, and remember that everybody has their preference. I prefer convenience, and my 360 is my favorite console Ive ever owned. Ive had it for like five years and never had to do anything to it besides maybe a bigger harddrive and it still gives me as much entertainment as youll ever get out of your pc. Fuck off cunt.
#59 - krando (01/15/2015) [-]
are you fucking retarded. 360 can't fucking touch 1080p if the ps3 couldn't EVEN IF they could theres no glorious 60fps+.
He's talking bull about not being able to run 1080p, he should be able to.
and no, it doesn't give more entertainment. I have LoL, Hearthstone, Heroes of the Storm, any RTS, DoTA 2 and a shit tonne more indie games. I can also browse the internet at the same time as playing a game (i.e flicking between game and internet
with 2 buttons).
Consoles don't even touch mid-tier PCs.
#14 - fatbutler (01/15/2015) [-]
You know whats convenient? Being able to change parts freely. Not having to worry about backwards capability. Not having to worry about my system becoming obsolete all at once, only having to replace a part here and there. Obviously I've got more money to waste of course, after saving up money over the course of 3 years to get a tower, an investment to make my pass-time look nicer, play smoother, and cost less in the long run.
Yeah. Its a preference. I get that. But if you're gonna have pleb tier preferences, don't be surprised when you get called a pleb.
#16 - deadfed (01/15/2015) [-]
3 years of savings for a tower, still have to get upgrades once in awhile, very convenient. I got my $360 for less than my pc, it came out to $184.something, and my pc is shit tier. I maybe a pleb tier gamer, but I still think pc is shit tier. I dont give a shit the specs, or how easily you can swap out a part. For me a console is a one time investment, plug and go, easily preferable alternative to god awful pc gaming. Take your tower and shove it up your ass next time you need a new part.
#77 - fatbutler (01/15/2015) [-]
If you didnt post it in reply to me, im not going to sit here and read all of your comments on this page. I'm trying to debate PC v Console, not get cancer from reading the shit-stain comments that some retard with questionable life choices lead him to destitution puked out onto his keyboard. Maybe if you spent less time "playing a game or two of battlefield, and then hopping back on funnyjunk" you'd find a better job with better pay and get yourself at LEAST and Xbone or PS4, instead of debating some random asshole on the internet.
#37 - thenez (01/15/2015) [-]
New vegas requires mods to not run like shit. There is one mod that removes the constant stuttering, and another that removes the ridiculous mouse acceleration in the menus.
I also prefer to mod the camera bobbing (due to walking) out of skyrim, make watching the screen much more tolerable. Also, both New Vegas and Skyrim are plug and play with the Xbox 360 controller, if controls were an issue.
I can't comment on the Battlefield games, I haven't played them.

Xbox 360 used price near launch (When I got my PC): ~$300
Xbone price average right now: $300-$500
That means about $800 for the consoles in the first lifespan of my computer
My PC start Price (Lasts time of Xbox 360-Xbone before needed to update): $1000
When I upgraded my computer to survive the Xbone and the next consoles lifecycle worth of time it costs around $200 for the upgrades, the cost of the next console would be anywhere from $300-$500, So it may have a higher starting price, but It has way lower cost over 2-4 generations, saving more as time goes on. And thats not even going into the fact of how much more powerful the PC was over the Xbox versions. I could also do the same math for the PS4, but It will reach around the same conclusion. So Console is better in the short term (1-2 generations of gaming) But past then you will save more money in the long run with a PC, and get the bonus of better performance. Just don't be a lazy f**k and take TIME to look for quality parts.
