Destruction/one handed sword master race

I learned all three words to the Fire Breath shout, so using that on them brings them down pretty quickly, it's just a matter of staying alive until my shout and or magicka recharges.
Speaking of which is there anything more effective than the amulet of Talos to shorten shout time?

I fucking hate frost trolls, close melee combat is my preferred method and trying that with a frost troll at my level is just asking to be wrecked.
Once I accidentally killed Onmund, reloaded my last save to revive him, and continued the quest.
At the very end the exit to Skyrim took me to a ledge, which I thought was strange. So instead of jumping down immediately, I inched myself onto to the edge and looked over.
Yep, motherfucking frost troll territory.
And what does my loving husband do?
He pushes me off the ledge, and then stays up there while I run for my life, casting flames and fire breath at the thing until it dies.
I shit you not it was too funny for me to even be mad.

I usually stock up on empty soul gems because I have the bow of animus. So when something is close to dying I shoot it with that and it either kills it or my husband finishes them off. Which is probably one of my favorite things about him. His lightning bolts always send bodies flying and it is funny as hell. Unless of course I wanted to loot them, then it's an easter egg hunt for where the hell their corpses landed.
I've only gotten common souls though, what has a grand soul?
User avatar #154 - goodguygary (12/17/2013) [-]
humans have a grand soul, but you need black soul gems to get them, and the only creature i can think of witha grand soul is a frost troll, maybe a draugr deathlord if they don't fall under the same catagory as human

I really like the Nightingale Blade's ability to drain health and replenish your own.
I need that on my weapon of choice but my enchantment isn't worth much right now.

a good way to raise enchant leves is to get azura's (black version is best) star, since it can hold up to grand souls, and never gets destroyed when used

I think I have that quest right now. Does giving it to someone come at the end of that quest?
User avatar #146 - goodguygary (12/17/2013) [-]
either you return it to azura's shrine, or give it to the mage dude, the mage dude keeps it black, so you can absorb human souls for easier grand souls but once you choose, you can't go back

I shit you not it was too funny for me to even be mad.

restoration/one handed weapons masterrace here, brought down a frost troll with dwarven weapons and armour
