Australia vs. USA
it's true. medical research is funded because of the way the hospitals are set up. Usually pharmacutical or other things try to test their products and stuff. It's a shitty thing businesswise but America creates most of the medical breakthroughs for a reason. We have the money and competition to fund it
A Canadian discovered insulin so we got that under our belt (not sure if pun intended or not)

I just think I objectively look like a retard without glasses because I am so used to wearing them
maybe, i also wear glasses any time im awake, and feel i look far different without them as well. im just advocating physical fitness as a medium for improving your self image since you wer talking about it in a previous comment. the comment i replied to was random and maybe that had you confused

>the exclusives are always fun
Not always the case. on the 360/PS3 maybe, but so far I haven't seen any real worthwhile exclusives from Xbox or PS. Nintendo has some that interest me, but not the other two. I think Xbox only really has Halo as an exclusive now. They have Rare games, but they haven't released anything worthwhile for years. I think the last game they released is Nuts and Bolts. PS has Naughty Dog which always seems to release great titles, but they only do so once in a long while so you can't really rely on them alone.
you aren't missing much with the switch. I bought one after losing a coin toss to the universe and haven't really touched it since.
You assumed that we'd be getting the entire Switch library in its first 4 months?
I assumed something great to justify the hype behind it all.
You mean, like...Zelda?
zelda was also in the wii u, and didn't feel all to amazing in my opinion. It felt like a group at nintendo tried to make their own open world game but the higher ups didn't feel that it would survive on its own so they slapped the Zelda logo on it, sort of like they did with Kirby Epic Yarn. The features it boasted weren't a part of the zelda core mechanics, and the zelda core mechanics that were used were rather bland in it.
So because it doesnt have a taste in games that you like so far, in your mind its objectively bad?
Thats like me saying since I hypothetically dont like oddyssey the switch is shit. Give it time, you'll fof stiff you'll like.
holy crap you are dense anon, I never stated the switch is bad, I stated that there isn't much to miss out on.
I didn't consider it much of a Zelda game either, but still a great one. You can't judge a console solely on its first couple of months, since, you know, games will keep being released every year. Then again, if you weren't interested in any of the games that were announced for the system, you only have yourself to blame.
I only judged it as a zelda game since it had the logo. Similar to how Sonic Boom wouldn't have been judged as harshly is it weren't a sonic game, I wouldn't have judges BotW if it weren't a Zelda game. Plus I never really spoke bad of the console, just said they weren't missing out on much at the moment, and with a small library of exclusive games, there isn't any other way to state that they aren't missing out on much. I got it because I bought the hype that BotW was going to be great, and ended up flipping 5 coins to decide on if I should get it or not. All 5 coins said to buy it so I bought it, nothing to really regret since I had the money in my bank account just sitting there.
On a side note though, I do wish Nintendo added in achievements onto the Switch, it would have made me re-purchase games I already own to get them, plus they could have taken the trophies from SSB and put it on there for a Nintendo Trophy room to show off. So if you collected the master sword in BotW you would get a trophy for it, and in the trophy room game/app/thing you would get a 3D model representing said trophy, so in this case it could literally be the master sword in the ground. As you play more games, you can fill up your table that shows them all off, or have a 'trophy wall' which shows the ones you have for specific games, and possibly your rarest ones. Another section could also have been used to showcase all the amiibo you have tapped on your system/account to showcase those as well. That is just me though, I felt that would have been an epic thing to throw in but it isn't for everyone.
I think they should've gone as far as to let you get a generous discount on the rereleased Wii U games if you could prove previous ownership.
it would have been cool to get that discount, especially since it would help with some double purchases, however the programming for the switch and wii u could be completely different so people would have had to work long hours to get it working so they would need some money from it.
Yeah, but since it would still be nowhere near the amount of work to create a new game, I think offering up that reward for being loyal to the company would've been worth it. They really didn't treat Wii U owners that well with the Switch, even though I personally have complete understanding for it.
Platformers on console only.
Shooters on console is shit, why you think they got aim assist?
>shooters on console
Sorry, I respect your opinion, but I'm garbage enough without using a controller
i only gamed fps on a pc til i was about 14, things like cs and the early battlefields. when gears one came out, i bought an xbox and never really looked ack. i like the way a controller feels, especially an xbox controller. theres just something about pulling a trigger when i shoot that adds an authenticity to gaming that a mouse click lacks
I may be the odd one out, but I'm FAR better with a controller than with keyboard and mouse. I played BF3 for a while on PC using an Xbox controller
(I don't even own an Xbox and wasn't really familiar with it)
and I beat the crap out of most players. I was surprised.
I actually like using a controller for shooters. I know you don't have as much control as with a mouse, but the controller has that kinesthetic aspect to it that makes the game that much more enjoyable in a visceral way. This doesn't happen so much when driving a vehicle like a tank, or anything in third person, or with a bird's eye view like an rts.
- such edge, much faggot
