rammstien's du hast is what started this. so for years i said du hast means you have cause if it means you hate the song means something that doesnt quite make full sense.

Best way to learn it is from interaction, learning from books is pretty difficult. i started my course knowing NO German, 5 months later i was speaking it well enough to hold conversation. and not a word of English was spoken in my course.
