I can't answer that for you. If it's something you feel in control of, then you're probably fine. Not everyone NEEDS sobriety, and not everyone who drinks has a problem. If you set out to drink 1 or 2 and end up 6 or 7 deep though you might consider if it's something you need to ease up with.

That's still a great accomplishment. I've been clean off drugs for about a decade now (I've stopped counting) and have gotten a good enough handle on my compulsiveness that I can handle going out for drinks now and then. I don't actually really like the taste of alcohol anymore, so a couple beers a year is all I'm up for anyways.

I've found that the people in my life now are accepting when I say that I've had problems with addiction and don't want to be around drugs. I don't care what they do, but I tell them I would have to get up and leave if I thought I might relapse.

Yeah, most people don't get bothered by it. People are way more understanding than addicts assume. On that note congrats on the long, hard road of being free of your addictive substance! It's no joke man.

Well let's see; without any spoilers, I'd say that it's really a lot more open world than the other two, which is what I'm starting to really enjoy. I have it for the xbox one, and I've had the other two for 360, so what took a while to get used to was the combat. In this one, the A button jumps, while the RT attacks. So that means that while you're exploring, you can jump down cliffs and you're not forced to stay on one path. The movement style reminds me of a mixture between Skyrim in 3rd person mode and Kingdoms of Amalur, although as far as I can tell you can't glitch up cliffs like Skyrim. One thing you need to watch out for though is higher-level enemies. In this one, the enemies really don't level with you, and it doesn't really have an area labeled where the higher leveled enemies are, you pretty much just stumble across them and die. Like around a few hours in, my party was all level 5, and I'm just minding my own Goddamn business picking up elfroots and shit, and this fucking level 15 dragon just shows out of nowhere and annihilates my party. I think this is where they were trying to make it more of a classic rpg. There's also a tactical camera mode (I personally don't use it) which basically switches it to an overhead mode and makes it more like WoW or Diablo, where you issue commands and your character and the party members follow them instead of directly controlling your character. But answering your original question:

+Way more open world to explore than the previous two Dragon Ages (combined, I'd say)
+Multiple combat styles
+Ability to fast travel across vast distances in certain areas by discovering ad making camps
+A shit ton of quests
+Cameos from some characters from previous games ( Varric, Hawke makes an appearance, but I haven't seen him yet)
+Very smooth combat system

I've only played as a warrior so far, so I can't say about the mage or rogue, but I do have to say that the warrior can get boring sometimes just slashing away.

I have it for XBONE as well, I really like the multiplayer but people fuck up all the time and rush ahead. They have it made as a class system, IE Tank, support, and DPS you wipe alot but the idea of it is cool. One thing I find sketchy about it is the platinum thing where you can pay to get currency, I think thats kinda bullshit.

i think i just experienced the same dragon story. was it right passed the bandit camp you take over? i walked out and saw the skulls on all the enemies but luckily im a rogue and turned invisible and just looted the minerals and some chests and bailed while my party was "fighting" it
