Spock by himself is not so bad, though I'm sure he could *make* something deadlier. Or maybe he controls something deadlier. As it is, I'd rather have the button that completely obliterates the earth (or at least my immediate area) than just Spock smashing my monitor.

Still not sure why my teacher was OK with it, but I knew the subject backwards and forwards anyways so it didn't really matter.

My elementary school was a very old building and every classroom on the second floor no clue why it was only the second floor) had two doors to the hall. I think that for safety's sake, newer buildings only have one door to the hall. My high school though, which was just built in 1999, had a few doors between classrooms. There was one between the each of the two sets of two science labs at the end of the lower and upper hallways, as well as a door between the last two classrooms on each hallway. Never really understood that last one.

Worth noting in all this is that any doors that go straight from the classroom to the outside are likely emergency exits only, or at the very least are locked from the outside 24/7 unless they're being propped for a specific purpose.

My high school had two doors in several classrooms. Most of them, they both lead out to the hallway on each end.

My Physics class has three doors. One to outside, one to the classroom next door, and one to the hallway. And many others in my school do. Its more then likely that classes have more then 1 door.

I'll take a picture of my physics room tomorrow, if you really need proof, but you do raise a fine point that I had overlooked with the fixed part of the budget.
#45 - gjsmothefirst (12/03/2013) [-]
I'd like the proof, yes. Sorry, but in 12 years of grade school plus pre-K, I never had a single classroom with more than a door to the hallway. I'll admit that the gyms had more than one door, but that's kind of an outlier...

#58 - gjsmothefirst (10/13/2013) [-]
I have. While they don't have teeth, I still wouldn't want to hold one like that. Usually they don't like it when you do that, and since fish (including bass) tend to stay conscious for quite a while out of the water, holding it by the bottom lip will probably result in it doing its best to bite off your thumb (no real teeth...) and eventually throwing itself away from you.

TL;DR fish don't like being caught, and this is a shitty ass way to hold any fish if you want to keep the fish/your thumb.
