If Fred and Bill see something wrong with the Larry's living conditions, they then get together and draft a law proposing that Fred, Bill, and Jack do something to change Larry's conditions. There was nothing wrong with Fred and Bill working to help Larry, what was wrong was the law and the indenturing of Jack to the cause without Jack's consent or interest. Jack (representative of any third party) should not be forced to do something or pay for anything he does not desire to. Now, while I have not paid for anyone's medical expenses of my own free will, it is because I have quite a small income, and am thus incapable of doing so. However, I do help people whenever I can and know many people and organizations willing and designed to do so without government involvement or coercion.

While the maths are right, I don't think you need to count the "in a relationship" factor. Either way, doesn't change the fact that dafuqkent was terribly wrong.
