It was absolutely terrible.. When my mom bought me my first game (Fire Red) I still had to play in secret from my dad because the aforementioned grandma is his mother.

My mom bought a gameboy advance and pokemon Blue , then she said its the only one she buys ( post divorce family , father not paying , etc) and my sister decided it was tasty , thats how i never pokemon ,
