Oh good, you scarred me for a second there.
Uh so...
first off i recommend a i5 3570k as your processor. It has four cores, and that shit gonna run what you want.
A motherboard that can handle that (Z77) and also has plenty of room for Ram and PCI Express 3.0 x16
Then, i recommend at least 8gb of ram, DDR3 and 1600 speed or above (higher than 1600 is also good)
Uh, for gaming at least 1 Terabyte hard drive. Probably more, but its a choice.
Then for a graphics card, i would got from GTX 660ti 3GB graphics or better. A GTX 670 is also very good if you want to take that price jump. Same with a GTX 680 if you go up even more. But for one monitor the most you will ever need is a 660ti.
Also there are Radeon cards, which are very good as well, but sometimes Intel processors and those cards dont mix, and im trying to recommend a great system for you, so i wouldn't risk it.
For the processor and the graphics card, probably go with a 700 Watt PSU. Unless you get loads of fans and shit, then you cray cray and can go 750 if you reallllly want. 750 also will give room for Over Clocking if you want to
As for the rest, its just personal preference.
Make sure the case has good ventalation and plenty of room though.
After that just don't pick stupid stuff or unneccesary things

Well what are you trying to spend on the rig?
It just depends on what you are trying to do, such as just gaming, or other shit. And also what kind of extravagance you are trying to have, such as triple monitor gaming or stuff like that. (which you really don't need)
#328218 - gigantustesticulus (02/05/2013) [-]
I think i'll manage perfectly with just the one monitor! definitely gaming i'd probably upload some stuff on youtube. i mean a laptop is fine for me just browsing the web and uploading to youtube but i'd love to kill two birds with one stone and play my gaming there too. by extravagance I just mean i'm happy to spend :)

Oh god no
You do not need at least an i7
only intel extreme gamer fanboys will tell you that.
i7 3770k is probably the farthest anyone would need to go to. Best for gaming would probably be i5 3570k

First things first, you need to know your budget
Then you can search for parts
And don't feel bad.
You have to start somewhere

Well i'm gonna be making £20,000( roughly$32,000 USD) a year starting this summer starting my first career and i'll be moving away from home so it'll be a extravagant little treat ;)
