Looks like you apparently need something to take your mind off finals. I'll give something I'm fairly sure is close to the truth.
What the purpose of school is not to prepare you with useful information, but to give you the guidelines as to how to work through things.
For example, Maths might not teach you how to change a tyre, but it will teach you how to measure the gauge and profile of the tyre, as well as to determine where to place the balances if your tyres are out of alignment. With sums and calculations it's a matter of practice, so beginning calculations and things early enough and getting thousands of them through your head will save a whole lot of ******** moments, like wondering what's half of eighty-five for when you need to cut something to size. The answer 42.5 would just pop into your head and you'd know it because you did the damn math thousands of times, and no factors have changed.
Sciences are just helping you get a grounding in knowledge of things, pure intelligence work. No way around it except through, and though it might melt your mind it will leave you with a big dump of information, as well as a whole lot of terminology that will help you pick apart complicated things later on in life. What the best thing it will help you with, though, is the mental flexibility to quickly grasp new concepts and work with them. Failing that, it will teach you to look at an end result, pick apart features and to guess at the process that created it.
English? Well, to be fair I kind of ****** up majorly on that part. What it did teach, though, was the importance of placement and positioning, a volatile combination of subtlety and strategy. Frankly speaking you won't be needing much of it unless you become a typeworker such as a journalist or a publisher, but it's a decent thing to have. Gives you a more-than-mild sense of paranoia, but that comes with the territory.
Social Studies are basically the same, except it's all about healthcare and mental work. It's basically mass-scale psychology, which lets you pick apart things going on at a macro-scale. Granted, your experience in real life will be drastically different being just at one point as opposed to seeing the entire thing in class, but still. The subject teaches you about recurring themes and patterns, and the timeless situations that arise from them. I know, I know, no two points in a river are the same and all that, but placing a rock somewhere will cause an eddy. You get the analogy.
All in all, your most valuable assets once you get stuck into working life is rationality, practicality and level-headedness. Persistence is an easy thing to have; just fix it into yourself that the consequences of backing down are worse than the consequences of pushing ahead and ruining yourself.
You're not unbreakable. Just refuse to be broken.
Or go ahead and let yourself be split, that way they'll have two of you to deal with.
