MS is refusing to give refunds

The official answer from Overkill was "We will attempt to fix the issues on Xbox 360. If they are unsuccessful, we are very sorry. Thank you for playing Payday 2"

I played DS3 as a rental. I don't scare easy but I nearly lost my shit when going through the underground storehouse/mess hall.

I turned around in the dining area and there were six or seven Feeders right in my face, the flashlight instantly caused them to flip their collective shit, I just started swinging (panic melee was strangely satisfying in DS3)…

Dead Space never outright scared me, but instill a very therapeutic tension in my head.

Dead Space as a series had a unique visual style. What do you think?

This is a correction.

User avatar #1083447 - giinthir (10/28/2014) [-]
Absolutely. I own the art book myself, read everything in there about every design. The general theme was always ribcages. The 3rd was so bad, but the DLC for it was one of the best things in the series.
User avatar #1083453 - scowler (10/28/2014) [-]
And I think the third was in line with the earlier two.
#1083455 - giinthir (10/28/2014) [-]
No. Absolutely Not. 3 has nearly ruined the entire series. We may never see more because of it.
User avatar #1083460 - scowler (10/28/2014) [-]
Maybe in-line isn't the right word, considering you ended up somewhere different with every installment.

What was so bad that I never picked up on? Couldn't have been the location, because it was fucking classic. Couldn't have been the writing because it was fairly cynical and dark, like the first two. Couldn't have been the micro-transactions, because those were easy to work around.
User avatar #1083465 - giinthir (10/28/2014) [-]
It was because they went for full on Action, dropping the item management completely, not only that, but they got rid of weapon upgrades. They shoe horned a co-op element in, which would've been fine if they supported local, but they didn't. Compared to how perfect the first game was, and how the second still kept elements of it, the third was the absolute worst thing to happen. The only good thing to come out of it was the explanation of where the markers come from and the DLC.
User avatar #1083473 - scowler (10/28/2014) [-]
Being hounded by lunatics tends to have the effect of more action, but then they started offing themselves. But it wasn't "Hollywood" action, so there's not much to gripe about there.

I never had a co-op partner, so I wouldn't know.

Everybody seems to think the first game is always perfect. Up until Destiny came out, that is. That's what happens when you go full Casual Sellout...
User avatar #1083482 - giinthir (10/28/2014) [-]
Not only that but they put in a dodge move, and then made enemies you could only really fight by using it. The first Dead Space was perfect, and I'll stand by it as long as I need to.
User avatar #1083485 - scowler (10/28/2014) [-]

User avatar #1083527 - giinthir (10/28/2014) [-]
No, the zero gravity made sense when it was used in DS1 and DS2.
