It's fun to note that in no fantasy setting whatsoever do Orcs ever go full retard
-LOTR: Ugly as hell, not the greatest martial artists; but experts at climbing and seeing in the dark.
-Elder Scrolls: Still ugly, but honourable; like spartantoaster said: if one can become a master chef, and another a librarian at the college of Winterhold, they aren't stupid there either. (They just get shunned due to racism)
-Warcraft: Still ugly, but much like their ES-counterparts, they are noble barbarians. Honorable and strong.
-Warhammer: God damn are these guys ugly, but they are the most impressive of all fantasy orcs. An orc isn't particularily bright, but its often implied (before Warhammer Online) that they are actually pretty clever and could do anything they set their mind too. Problem is: only thing they actually wanna do is fight and occasionally get drunk.

fast forward a few decades
"omg why are orcs always so stupid, dull, rapy, and murderous?"


because that's literally what orcs were made to be.
they're a fantasy version of the stereotypical barbarian savage.
just like snek-people are made to be sly, orcs are made to be savage.
