Visit Latvia, but I suggest you stay away from Rīga, try to enjoy the countryside, thats where the real thing is at.

We have some places to see in Riga. I prefer old Riga. As an tourist things may be really expensive to you if you don`t know right places to spend money. We have some cool places off the capital too.

I liked Riga a lot when I visited it in September.
It probably depends on where you live and how far you have to go. But even coming from further away you can combine it with something else.
I did a 2 week trip with friends starting in Warsow going to Vilnius, Riga, Tallinn, Helsinki and Stockholm and afterwards back home to Vienna by plane. Riga was definitly worth the visit.

If you want to go their look for flights from airBaltic, they have their head office at Riga airport and are pretty cheap. And when going aroung in the baltic states drive with LuxExpress busses (by far the best ones) or by car (if you want to go to the countryside) train isn't the best option.
