| Still cheaper even if you don't pirate, steam sells em' for cheaper than any store. You can get a PC game for 10-20$ less on average than a console game with steam. #162

schneidend (05/23/2013) [-] Not if you buy them on release. You might save $5ish on a pre-order of a new game, but you won't be getting a triple-A title day one for less than $55. Steam also does not have every game. Bioware and Blizzard games are not available on Steam, for instance. There's also console exclusives which simply don't exist on the PC unless you're a ROM-using pirate hooker. -Pc has more exclusives than consoles. -Yes not all games are on steam but you've still got a massive selection on steam. -The standard price for PC games is 50$ vs. 60$ on console, so there's 10 dollars, sometimes companies charge 60$ but it's not standard. -Steam has regular 75% off sales. -Most games on PC hit the 30$ or less range if you're not talking AAA releases, payday 2 for example is coming out later this year, you know how much that game costs? 30$ -Then there's modding communities which extend the life of a game ten-fold, making you get more for your money. -Blizzard games aren't even available on console either, well except diablo 3. -Most of bioware's games are on steam, with the exception of games made after origin was made. | ||
