Get Doran's Shield then Philosophers Stone, then build Runic Bulwark, the Boots of Swiftness. Just an early game combo I've found to work quite well. PS can build int Shyrelias Reverie (or whatever it's called) which is a good item and can provide a good escape for your team.

Ult is short for ultimate, your R ability, the one you upgrade at 6, 11, and 16. Rammus' ult does high AoE damage per second, and can damage turrets too. When you powerball -> taunt, always use your w, it causes them to take loads of damage from the taunt.

Trust me, he's worth every IP. He carries hard, and he's a tank. He's a bit poo until you get the ult, but when you do, you'll wreck shit. His ganking is amazing, even when he isn't jungler. Use your Q to hunt down and slow enemies, thyn taunt them and use your W while ulting (in that order EWR), they'll be forced to attack you and take loads of damage from the W and your ult. Also your team can catch up in this time and help you finish them.

On a half-decent 40 minute Rammus game you can go 5/5/25. Almost all deaths will be before level 6, and you're a tank so you're job is to support and get assists.
