Thanks. I'm thinking of baking them into cookies or something, just using hash oil. I don't know if I am too comfortable with smoking it. That can't be good for your lungs.
Anyone know whether just ingesting the hash oil will help relieve the eye pressure? or does it have to be smoked?

And there are negative ones: besides the obvious things like impaired jugdment, drowziness, etc... there's also a drop in blood pressure and the effects usually only last 3-4 hours, so you'd have to smoke around the clock. Apparantly there's also evidence that glaucoma can worsen due to inadequate blood supply to the nerves in the eye, making the drop in blood pressure an extra risk.
I'm not trying to scare you, but you should know that marijuana is not 'a miracle drug'. The effects, although effective in lowering the intraocular pressure, are far from efficient, making it a temporary solution at best. Considering you're still young, and likely will have to undergo treatment for several decades still, I can't say that I'd recommend marijuana.
There are apparantly also eyedrops available that also manage to lower pressure, but I'm not from the US, so I don't know how much those will cost you though. In any case, talk it over with your doctor. I hope you'll find a solution soon, hang in there man.
Most of my info comes from this short article, which I believe to be correct given the correct references to academic journals: www.americanglaucomasociety.net/patients/position_statements/marijuana_glaucoma
I hope I made myself clear, I'm not a native english speaker.

www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/18154755 it's a bit dated though, this article is from 2009 apparantly ), but that's still a lot cheaper than 400$ a month, and you wouldn't be dealing with the negative side effects of/hassle to acquire marijuana. Again, I'm not a US resident, so it could be that I'm totally missing the point here... Just trying to help.

Thanks again. that is also very viable. Unfortunately, in order to get those drops, I will need to be prescribed. And once I get diagnosed with glaucoma, there goes my chances at getting any health insurance in the future. Because I'll have to pay top dollar for them, simply for having a preexisting condition. Right now, I am hoping for Obamacare to kick in (which I know is unpopular, but is something that would help me), so that I can at least have health insurance before I am officially diagnosed.
Still, that may take a while, and I need to start treating my condition now before the damage becomes too extensive.
So I may just take marijuana as a temporary treatment, until I find a good, official one for the long term.

Damn, hearing shit like that makes me glad to be a eurofag. It sounds haunting not being able to receive proper care for an actual serious medical condition like that.
I hope for you (and all Americans for that matter) that Obamacare succeeds. But yes, it may be a good idea to use marijuana in the meantime to stop your glaucoma from worsening. In any case, don't let your beliefs (as noble as they may be) get in the way of taking proper care of your body, even if it's not the most optimal way to do it.
