it's not the shearing that's the problem, it's the way it's done. as showed in the video I posted below, there are some who handle the sheep so roughly, they break their necks, legs, cut them... one had its penis partially severed.

Once a year.
Otherwise the weight of the wool pulls at it's skin causing sores which flies then lay eggs in.
Eggs hatch, maggots eat sheep, sheep is in a lot of pain, sores get infected, sheep dies a very slow and unpleasant death.

yes, their coats don't self clean like a vagina, they get dirty and filled with little animals/insects. so yeah, they need to be sheared every 2 months or so
