Oh, you're one of those? "All government services are socialism." K. So I have the choice between two retarded extremes 1) admit socialism is a good idea 2) or prove that there is no need for government. Either unfettered capitalistic anarchy or socialism? It's a fallacious bullshit argument.

Sp, there's no legitimate government functions where no free market solutions can exist without infringing on the rights of the individual (security, fire, police)? For example, homeowner A has a right to not have their house burned down if homeowner B refuses to pay the private fire department to put out a fire, thus, private fire can't exist without infringing on peoples rights. Hence, necessary government function--not socialism.

There's no room for a category of extraneous government overlap with the private sector? It doesn't nationalize an industry, but government creates an arguably unnecessary parallel service thereby performing functions where it shouldn't (Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, schools, public transport, infrastructure, postal service, prison system).

These aren't socialism, but rather government overreach, but not to you. You intend to be as obtuse as possible and say that all government services are socialism forcing me to argue some ridiculous...you know what. I'm tired of typing. You don't care. I don't care. Socialism is great. It totally doesn't conflict with individual rights, k? I'm out.

I don't think you understand the fact that socialist policies do not equate to an absolute socialist government wherein all citizens relinquish individual rights to each other.

Either way have a good night.

>describes a representative government
>calls it democracy

Do you know what a republic is?

PS You cannot have socialism without infringing on the economic freedom of the individual. IT IS ANTITHETICAL TO THE BILL OF RIGHTS AND THE CONSTITUTION.

I can write in bold too.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Democracy

Democracy, or democratic government, is "a system of government in which all the people of a state or polity ... are involved in making decisions about its affairs, typically by voting to elect representatives to a parliament or similar assembly,"

beta.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/democracy

Republic

a state in which supreme power is held by the people and their elected representatives, and which has an elected or nominated president rather than a monarch or dictator.

PS. We already have socialist policies without infringing on the economic freedom of the individual.
See Social security, medicare, medicaid , Government schooling, Public transport, infrastructure and security, Postal service, Prison System, The Military/Defense etc.
