I for sure do want to know more. I have a main street in my town FILLED wit hstops, and one spot specifically has 4 stops in a tiyn clustered area I could make use of with that bluestacks method.

Ok so here's what I did:
1. Download BlueStacks (I use Version 2.3.32.622 7 instead of the newest because that works better for me), Developertools APK ( play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.roysolberg.android.developertools&hl=en ) and Pokemon GO APK.
2. Install BlueStacks
3. Run BlueStacks, go to Location (on the left, in the Bluestacks Interface, not the Android one) and set your location
4. When Android asks for "better location" shit, decline
5. Go to Android Settings -> Location, make sure the mode is device only, open Google Location History. This will prompt you for location privileges for google apps, grant them.
6. In the Location thing, add your Google account
7. Once that's configured install the Developer Tools APK
8. Open dev tools, turn them off and back on again (yes, seriously...)
9. Install Pokemon Go and run it
10. Login using google account

That's it, this is how it worked for me. If you're using a Pokemon Trainer account, just login using google anyway and then sign out. Until you logged in with google once the location will not work for some bloody reason...

Have you disabled location services on your PC?
Anyway, maybe this approach helps you instead:

I saved the location in my brain for later (i.e. remembering), got home, installed BlueStacks, set that location (directly in bluestacks), did some fiddling and installed Pokemon Go there. Sadly it's static and you can't switch positions except by uninstalling and doing all the shit again but it works better for me than the popular fakegps method (which I can't get to work).

If you want a more detailed description on how to do it, let me know.

I have like 6 stops in my town which is a major pain as well.
My solution is that I went driving around to find a place where 2-3 stops are within reach of one player location and then set up Bluestacks with that location. So I can collect those 3 repeatedly while at home between Overwatch rounds or while watching something for example

It's certainly more efficient if you're not buying eggs. But people who are buying them don't care about efficiency. That's actually some smart thinking on the waiting to evolve stuff. Hmmm, I've evolved my caterpie and weedle already but there's plenty i can save. Thanks for that tip man.

Live in the desert and only work part time, and I am still somehow astronomically behind everyone else by only being lvl 10. Fucking summer, these kids are walking or driving around for 14 hours a day hitting up a shitload of stops and gyms. Meanwhile I can't find two fucking eevees in an entire day just to evolve my 230cp eevee into something decent.

It has swift, I think that means it's jolteon?
User avatar
#125 - Kazseppi (07/14/2016) [-]
The only thing i have a slight issue with is the Lucky Eggs, since lures affect everyone around that's not like a direct advantage or anything. Incense aren't bad either if you walk around or find a lure spot, which isn't hard at all, you get plenty of pokemon anyway. But since the CP of pokemon you find is related to your level, and lucky eggs are a full 100% boost in xp, people who buy them get a HUGE leg up in the gym game. It doesn't bother me too much because i'm just collecting really but it's there.
#132 - fragman (07/14/2016) [-]
True. But still, being clever and spending a little (or saving the free ones) is more efficient than spending a lot.
I could take time off work to walk around all day with permanent XP boost, or just play normally (use some incense when I'm staying at home, catch 1-2 during brakes at work, hang around if I find a pokestop with an active lure) and save candies for low-cost evolution pokemon... This is where I'm at now so I can then use an egg when I can spend the full 30 minutes evolving pokemon. I figure I can evolve around 50 pokemon in 30 minutes with 2 app restarts, so considering my encounter stats I'm collecting 240 pidgey candies, 180 weedle candies, 120 caterpie candies and 125 rattata candies + the pokemon to evolve... When I hit 50% (resources for 25 evolutions) I'll probably go for it, which will net me 25k exp and 15 minutes to spend at a lured pokestop with some active incense...
Anyway that's the current plan and I'm pretty sure it's more efficient

#129 - mellamoconsuelo (07/14/2016) [-]
How so? Lucky eggs don't boost gym prestige and your trainer level may correlate to CP finds but I haven't found anything over 500 in the wild and I'm at lvl 17 so having a higher level doesn't give you a HUGE advantage unless you play all day, but chances are you'll be amazing anyway. At least you can earn poke coins without real currency, which is more than can be said about other FTP's.
User avatar
#154 - Kazseppi (07/14/2016) [-]
Must be a big cp gap then because the three people i know who are level 23-25 have many 1600+ pokemon and a couple 2K pokemon.

I dont like how CP is bount to your level. I mean training your pokemon to the max of your level with dust, yes, but I thin everyone should have the same chance of catching strong pokemons.
User avatar
#127 - ilovemyguns (07/14/2016) [-]
You can only level your pokemon a certain amount of times with dust depending on your level. Hatch a few 5km eggs and get a shitload of dust, you'll see.

#117 - fragman (07/14/2016) [-]
Sure but it makes you learn that way. Without this progression, you could basically delete the trainer level altogether.
I've made the mistake of wasting like 10k dust and 62 candies to get a pigeot at level 5... now with a bit more knowledge I'm saving it for XP farms and getting a high end pokemon after reaching like lv15+
Until then I'm ignoring gyms unless they're off the grid where I can get some free defender points with the weak ass 200-400 CP pokemon I got
