I feel ya, less stressful and more annoying though. Especially when we get no notice posting so we have no time to prepare for a 3 day cycle.
Longest I've been out so far was 6 days at a MAF for inspection.

Fuck man, I wish I could go back to being a SET guard. Was one for about a year, then switched squadrons and went WSA.
Set guard life was the shit man. I asked for every camper I could.

Yeah, we get fked pretty hard all the time on SETS. LE just gets fked on their schedule, 6/2 12 hours, but they go home every night.

I'm one of the lucky ones, I work backshop rather than flightline, so most of the time I'm on a set 9 hour schedule. But even in the cozy maintenance job we end up doing 10's and 12's on a regular basis, although I've been lucky enough to only do a 5 day week so far. Still being a maintenance NCO is stressful.

Ah, you're an aircraft maintainer? SF here.
Yeah, we only have Hueys up here for TRF.

I consider SF the only career field that gets fked over more than maintainers do. We must all unite in the battle against noners.

Ever been to Malmstrom? It's pretty bad up here too.

That's not one of the bases I could ever go to as an engines troop, so I don't know anything about it.
