Your coloring is fine.

You could add GPS (GIMP Paint Studio) to your GIMP with this code.google.com/p/gps-gimp-paint-studio/ It just adds brushes and presets to try to make it more artist friendly.

User avatar
#23 - severepwner (12/18/2015) [-]
Kind of the entire purpose of a critic is having an opinion. If people watch his reviews so they can get an idea of a product, that's people putting value to his opinions.
#28 - doublepzk (12/18/2015) [-]
Yeah, he is one of those reviewers that, in my opinion, makes it clear that the review is from his point of view and not an objective point of view. That said he takes a pretty reasonable standpoint and like most of his reviews, even if yes some of it is forced, in the end he still helps me decide on games that I am undecided on (I also use a few other reviewers)
User avatar
#29 - severepwner (12/18/2015) [-]
Isn't an "objective" point of view impossible in this regard? This isn't a science, it's entertainment.

Even if Totalbiscuit's opinion is more intellectual or less biased, doesn't make his or anyone else's any more or less objective than Joe's.

For example, I could say Ride to Hell is the unrecognized art of our time, for it's deep story and unique voice acting style. But considering the other billion people would obviously disagree, I could easily say I'm the one with the objective viewpoint.

Anyway, point being, objectiveness can't really apply to entertainment at all. Just opinion and presentation.
#30 - doublepzk (12/18/2015) [-]
I see what you mean, but I feel like there is a level of objectivity that can be achieved. Like a truly subjective review could be "I don't like that game because I didn't find it fun," but an objective review could say "personally I did not find the game fun, but it did offer new content and as a sequel it certainly grew and developed the core mechanics of the game further to create a more cohesive and immersive story." Also objective doesn't mean you can't say something isn't objectively bad. Voice acting could be objectively bad, meaning it is just genuinely of poor quality (such as clearly poor voice recordings or the acting is clearly deplorable).

I would in fact say that Totalbiscuits review is a bit more objective, but I really don't feel like debating this stuff right now.

Sometimes his skits feel a little forced. But sometimes they're pretty damn funny. Kinda half an half.

But that doesn't diminish the overall quality of his reviews.

Yeah, it's a matter of opinion. I like Gambit's look in the comics. But I do know that making him wear a costume like that in a movie would be stupid.

So really, I'm okay with the X-Men not looking like they do in the comics. Besides Wolverine. I really wish they gave him the Yellow/Blue suit. lol

Yeah that's was I was trying to say the x-men are better off the way they are. I just don't see how they can make logan NOT look like a cosplay if they were using his yellow suit and weird pointy mask. But maybe when Jackman quits they'll just have him in the suit the whole time. Who knows that's one was to replace an actor make him wear a mask.

Different strokes for different folks. Personally I find his entire look to be pretty bad ass. To quote Todd Howard, "It just works." The contrast oh the dark coverings against his light skin and the bright red hues are very appealing and eye catching. If you know much about comic book costumes, you'd know pretty much anything that isn't flowing in the wind is skin tight. So it "obstructing his vision " won't be an issue.

I like you. You've got decent opinions. You'll have to excuse my curiosity, but what costumed Heroes, or villains, do you actually approve of? Purely aesthetically speaking.
#52 - foodyquest (12/16/2015) [-]
Well when it come to costumed characters I tend to favor the characters whose looks are either of a cultural/personal significance or made for practicality. Not just so the look neat. Take old school Animal Man for an example when he started wearing his jacket, his wife commented on how silly it looked. He responded with "where am I suppose to keep my keys In my tights?" Also he had the stupid hair mask thing but it covered his eyes effectively concealing his identity. It made sense(This was not the case in New52) .
Then there are character that can look a little bit silly but get away with it because it part of their culture Grand Regent Thragg wears a skirt. Skit's on his planet are in fashion. All I'm saying is that for me at least clothing needs to make sense for the character to wear it.

It's been a while since I've read any Xmen comics, but I'm pretty sure he's never actively tried concealing his identity. In fact I think literally everyone knows who he is.
I do remember something about him being in a gang of thieves, but I'm not sure he wore the same outfit back then.

so why wear something as stupid as a half mask hair holder up thing? That shit looks uncomfortable and would constantly slip and obscure his vision it serves like 0% purpose. It's only there to make him look stupid

hey man, I wanted to thank you for posting content. I looked over your profile. Although this is a copy and paste message, I wanted to say I appreciate you contributing to FJ.

FJ got hit hard with a lot of downtime recently. I'm working hard to improve the site, adding new features (mp4s, webms, and GIFs in comments, new comment features, etc) and trying to make the site better for mobile.

Can you keep posting on the site? That would mean a lot to me. Thanks.

Hey admin I have two suggestions.
1 Let us edit comments we posted. So we don't have to delete and and retype them.

2 I don't know if this is a thing yet if it is please correct me. Let user's hide the mature section of their profiles from themselves while logged on. I know I'm not the only one who browses at work. I like posting in **** I feel giving people some good fap material is the nicest thing I can do over the internet. I just would like to hide it during certain times of the day. Thanks!
