i heard a story where the writer goes up to chris nolan and specifically says he wants to write it so that superman kills zod . not that is the way it should go but they wanted to go there. that proves they don't understand superman

I was actually ok with that. Don't get me wrong I was kinda bummed that it happened I would like to see Zod and Faora in the future. It showed that kryptonians can be killed in that universe. And realistically how was he going to stop zod him going the phantom zone would have been a little too much of a cop-out plus it looks like that death was used to drive the universe forward (doomsday). My biggest issue were pretty much the truck crucifixion, Jonathan's death Superman/loise had no chemistry .

all those things were also true. "stop invincible son" is the worst scene ever. but still like i said they specifically wanted him to kill zod they didn't write the movie and say this is where it needs to go. they wanted him to do it. along with destroy the entire city in the process. if this wasn't the age of social media they never would of understood how wrong they got it

I still think killing Zod was an alright choice. Like i said there was no way to really stop him at that point.

because they didn't write it with options for other things. They wrote it for the way they did it. so they left out options for other solutions. the setup of the whole movie is flawed and it has carried over to the ending. He should not of needed to "go find himself" to be a superhero. The point of superman is he wants to be a hero. he's not a guy who needs a reason to do good. Supergirl in her show wants to be a hero that's what superman should be. (note supergirl is a very sjw anti-white guy pro feminism show. like seriously

Like i said they probably already planned to have Zodday show up in BVS. Also these Kents raised this Clarke to be a bit different. Also it a little realistic nobody just become a hero for the hell of it they need some motivation. So yeah i can see why he would need to think about it before he decided to show off his powers. Supergirl in the show looks up to her cousin and was inspired to be like him that;s why she became a hero (plus she likes how it feels saving people) the reason he wasn't a hero in MOS was because he was too busy getting his shit pushed in by the other kryptinians to be one. Plus once you think about it it was his first day on the job an job he wasn't prepared for so yeah no wonder shit got fucked up

the thing where you said "nobody becomes a hero for the hell of it" is right and wrong. he doesn't become a hero for the hell of it. he becomes a hero cause he sees stuff wrong and wants to help. he doesn't need to personalize it to be a hero. the fact you said that shows you're someone who needed the movie to be different to see there were other better ways

Well there's also the fact that they were trying to distance themselves away from Reeves superman. I think that went into consideration when they were writing this movie. I have been a superman can for a along as I can remember and I can admit that the big blue boy scout would have been a little dull in today's movie market. I always said there were certain elements that needed to be in a superman movie to make it work and this movie hit most of them. So I'm ok with it. I like it like I said it's not the movie would have written but it's close. Certainly closer than superman returns

you can add humor. you can add action. you can even add some interesting characters. but don't just remove all humor and fun action. there was a video of a go pro on a drone youtube video of superman that was 20 times more interesting then the movie

Honestly that fight was probably the most comic booky thing I have seen in live action media until the flash show anyway. In all honesty that is what a fight between two or kyptonians would be like. Although I wish it showed some damage being done to the fighters while the fight was happening. Dialog about evolutionary advantage aside that was an amazing fight.
