- Oh my god, that cat has heterochromia
Startling a Deaf Cat
I had a dog with heterochromia. A black lab/husky with one brown and one blue eye. She was beautiful.
I had a deaf kitty with heterochromia. She was mauled to death by a neighbor's dog pack. She didn't hear them coming.
Well that ended abruptly
That's why generally keeping pet cats indoors is far safer. Sorry for your loss though. Outdoor dogs who are stuck in backyards all day also piss me off.
We used to live in a very rural area. Our cats were spayed and vaccinated, so we saw no harm in letting them roam around. The event was... unfortunate though.
I was 7, saw her lying there, thought she was dazed, until I saw the blood in my hands.
I'd say it's blood isn't on your hands but..
fuck man same thing happened to my best bros cats, he had two kittens named George and Lenny and when Lenny was older he fought a raccoon and lost bad, then George ran away outa grief
Please tell me Lenny was a big, lovable, idiot of a cat... btw, your best bro had excellent taste in literature (or maybe movies)!
I guess it's a bit mroe dangerous in the city or suburbs, and you were young so it's more your parents decision to let the cat roam. But there are still all sorts of wildlife that can attack a outdoor cat in rural areas. Also any road nearby is a good chance of getting hit. I see dead cats and occasionally dogs on the way to work all the time, and get irritated when they turn out to be a pet of someone. Totally avoidable death.
nibba do you even know what heterochromia is?
There's a genetic disorder in some cats that causes them to be blind. It's linked to a white coat and blue/heterchromatic eyes.
I know what it is, I was asking him if he knew.
Well obviously, why else would he have pointed it out?
... differently colored irises?
So it does! I once saw a cat with heterochromia in real life, and was even offered to take it home, but we already had 4 cats at that time xD
I too, have a fetish for cats and heterochromia
I prefer 3D cats.
