What is it with all of you fucking morons thinking that we only killed kids or women? Let me tell you something you stupid son of a bitch I have been there when kids, women and innocent males were killed, you wanna know the most fucked up part? We weren't the ones who pulled the trigger, their own people did it, why? Because they helped us, so get off your fucking high horse and stop paying attention to media bullshit you fat neck beard piece of shit. to all of my brothers in arms from every branch, I salute you.

Not saying all US Troops in Afghanistan and Iraq are there to kill innocents and make fun of it; but there are some, some substantial amount of soldiers who just caused misery and pain.
Though video was available, there was no voice, when it was released by Pentagon. Later on, WikiLeaks shared this.
I can also remind Abu Ghraib Prison, in Baghdad, Iraq - and numerous other occasions where it was clear that the ISAF Forces / Coalition Forces acted in nothing but bad faith.
That being said, yes, the terrorist groups cause perhaps more damage and pain to the locals then any Army does, both in Iraq and Afghanistan.

my bro is in the British armed forces (3 para) so i have the utmost respect for soldiers and what they do. it isn't just fighting in the middle east, its peace keeping! If our soldiers were not there i can tell you now it would be a hell of a lot worse! You can say that we are there for financial gains as much as you want but we are still making the lives of people better by being there. on a side not, it wouldn't be the american government making money off this it would be the banks that lend them the money to do so.
#19 - internetrage (07/30/2013) [-]
mistakes like going to war in the first place? american people in particular, often make the mistake of believing that their armed forces are actually out there protecting them and not serving the interests of the privileged few, that their armed forces are actually improving the quality of life of the average american - its actually probably one of the biggest triumphs of propaganda in the modern age.
oh, and the US military is also adept at turning impressionable young signups into Jihadis. thats right.
#20 - reaperssprint (07/30/2013) [-]
Hey dumbfuck, the American people don't believe the armed forces are protecting us. The large majority disagree with the wars and only call for it on certain occasions. To think that America is the only country that has committed atrocities during war and that it is the only country that goes to war for resources is some of the dumbest thinking anyone could muster up.
The American people still respect their soldiers because not all of them had much choice, a lot of people joining because it helps pay off colleges and debts or helps them build a life. Mistakes are made in war, people try to do their jobs but human error is an occurrence. To blame the soldiers and the people for the decisions of men in office is shallow and show;s your lack of judgement. So stop being a jackass and go find somewhere else to be a self-righteous cunt.

well, you raise an interesting point. but from what ive seen of America a lot of you are hideously indoctrinated. take yourself for example - you sit there like a true keyboard warrior and get yourself all hot under the collar because a gosh darn foreigner has the balls to challenge your glorious military, and resort to making petty excuses like 'they had no choice' and 'hey other countries are doing it too' (which i acknowledge by the way, but it's hardly relevant). Oh and as for the 'we were only following orders' cop-out, i believe many high ranking nazis used the same defense. It was thrown out of Nuremberg.
"The fact that a person acted pursuant to order of his Government or of a superior does not relieve him from responsibility under international law, provided a moral choice was in fact possible to him."
#23 - reaperssprint (07/30/2013) [-]
Here's the thing. A lot of the orders are given without the knowledge of what is actually going to happen. In cases of bombing's and airstrikes, the pilot will often be told that the target is a terrorist stronghold. So of course he believes his target is going to deal a great hit to the enemy, whereas he just bombed a school fr children. To blame individuals for the mistakes and actions of commanding officers is, as I said before, idiotic and just plain dumb.
Keyboard warrior applies to yourself more since you felt the need to be an asshole for no real reason other than to superimpose your beliefs and opinions on others. But if you want to continue to hate a whole country for the actions of a few, then enjoy your meaningless life. The rest of us will continue about our days not being a paranoid coward. If you felt so strongly about your dislike, you'd do something. But you're satisfied with sitting behind your computer acting like you know the world for what it is.
#28 - reaperssprint (07/30/2013) [-]
Then you need to learn to hate things that are in your control. Trust me, its not healthy or worth it to hate things like that. Just take a break and enjoy what makes you happy, I enjoy nature and quiet so I often like to go through nature parks and visit the mountains. The little things man, don't dwell on it too much. That's the kind of stuff that STARTS wars.
#32 - iamthatguyuknow (07/30/2013) [-]
There is no point to hatred at all, take it from a man who wakes up hating the things I did while in Afghanistan. Every morning it is the same thing: wake up and take my venlafaxine before I attempt to blow my brains all over the wall. Hate has got me nowhere fast.

actually america bombed a maternity hospital... www.theguardian.com/world/2003/apr/02/iraq.simonjeffery
#18 - iamthatguyuknow (07/30/2013) [-]
That is a picture of a ground troop, saying that she made america a better place by killing 10 kids of her child's very same age, that is to assume that that female pulled the trigger thus taking the life of 10 kids. Different than dropping a missile on a maternity ward and multiple other buildings during a bombing run, granted it could have been executed in a safer manner since after all the government building they targeted was not even hit. Falls under the same category as using a fucking predator drone to execute missile strikes when on more than one occasion they were proven to be inaccurate. The point I am trying to make is there is a totally different set of engagement protocols between men on the ground and their surroundings and a fucking bomb which has no sense of innocence be it man, woman or child. Essentially I'm saying that the picture posted implies U.S. Soldiers intentionally take the lives of children, which is not the fucking case.

Let us see here: A. I do not under any circumstance have to justify MY reasons for joining the military. B. Even though by no means do I support some of the shit that has happened or will happen. Last but not least C. Fuck you and your self consumed fucking attitude, also for future reference maybe you should state a source to confirm your accusation of U.S. Soldiers Intentionally killing children in cold blood. By the way before I forget, freedom doesn't have jack fucking shit to do with any of this, I mean I don't know if you have noticed but America is not as free as everyone thinks.
#56 - mhden (07/30/2013) [-]
Did i ever say you kill in cold blood ? But you still kill . So you are a murderer . Why ?
Because you are there to KILL not to protect anything . You are in THEIR territory , killing people . I don't care if they are bad or not . You talk about 9/11 being a disaster and you guys make them have a 9/11 every month . You think because you have CIRCUMSTANCES and feel guilty that you are not a murderer ? Can you say HYPOCRITE?
You are played to KILL and you blindly follow orders .
As for the cold blood ... tell me again how a cold-chunk of steel, plodded with explosives coming your way at 400km/h is not in COLD BLOOD .
I hate you guys the most . You just take comfort in what little humanity you have left and try to prove yourself right .

How about you go and do some fucking research you stupid cunt, we gave afghani's supplies, meds, medical attention and protected multiple villages while I was there. Another thing, it is not your place or any other mans place to judge me for the actions I took to Defend myself and those around me, be them natives or my brothers in arms. On more than one occasion we were thanked by the men women and children we helped. Also Rules Of Engagements (ROE's) dictate that no American troop will fire on anyone unless fired upon first.
