No clubs or anything after school. I want to volunteer but I don't know where there's a place nearby...

I meant a class that has group work, like physics labs or something. Bad writer at 3 am, but I'm probably pulling all-nighter.
Volunteer work is a good way to meet people, but the age range is very hard to predict. Try hospitals and clinics, they love any help they can get, although having training in first aid may be a pre-req with some.

My school has none of that. It's just the basic classes. Government, history, english, math, comp. skills, that's it.

Hows it going dude? I spent 7 hours last night after school working on a project, and didn't come back home until 1 am.

Writing a code in a program at school, first 3 hours was getting practice in and relearning how to operate it, then spent the rest of the time writing it, hunting down errors, and making it look pretty.

Actually, I developed a temporary condition that stalled my social life, school life - just about everything for almost two years. This year I began to get things back on track, but adjusting back into society where I don't see my friends as often as I did isn't so... I don't know xP

Hrmm. Typically, friends never end the relationship, just drift apart. Chances are, if you attempt to reconnect with those that are local, you can start it up again. My junior high years sucked miserably due to my best friend becoming a skater-wannabe, and the rest of my friends leaving, moving, or having very different classes than me. It wasn't until HS that I began to try and hang with my buddy again, and when I did, we basically jumped back to how it was in elementary. Of course, I mock him constantly for his skater phase...

You have a point there...I'm a person who can see and tell others but can't see and tell myself >_< I guess it's just a matter of trying to hang with them. I left to a different school so now it's time to resort to plannings :o

Ack, new school, rough situation there, especially in HS, but at least the older you get, the faster you are willing to add new members to the group. In college, friends seem to just appear randomly, although it really helped to be living in the dorms with them.
Making an effort in general tends to have good results, though.

You have a common lunch, right? Just go sit with some people that don't look threatening and try to join their conversation. If that fails, try another table. Or do my favorite trick, meet someone in class, get on somewhat good terms with them, and try to meet their friends, and get assimilated into their group. But if they start saying 'One of us! One of us!' , you should bale.

Nope, no lunch. I go to an adult learning center that's like a high school, but isn't one at the same time. It's an independent study school. I'm there for no more than 3-6 hours, depending on the day. Most of my work is done at home.
