For me the best episodes were the first ones before you really knew whether she was real or not, before you knew about the curse and you were still uneasy about what was actually going on.... If I had read this comment before I watched the anime I think it could've spoiled it ;__; I don't want to be a prick but you maybe should consider deleting so you won't spoil it for anyone.

It's probably not a great show to watch if you don't already watch anime. It's set in a highschool in a small village; so basic knowledge of Japanese culture helps
There is an English dub though, so if you look hard enough you should be able to find places to watch it if you want.

The show is called "Another"
It's horror/mystery.
If I had to give it a review I'd say 7.9/10. Its good, not great but good.
It just hat horror is such a hard genre to pull off. It's definitely worth the watch though.
User avatar #25 - savvasp (09/13/2013) [-]
I started watching it and figured out I don't like watching horror/mystery in the slightest. I dropped it at 3-4 episodes and watching it just made me feel uneasy really.
User avatar #20 - captainfuckitall (09/13/2013) [-]
Damn it, I was hoping you'd just say "It's called Another", and I would say something stupid like "Another name?" and we would continue in a horrid attempt to try and reason out the title of an anime.

You just ruined my fun
User avatar #4 - thefogwoggler (09/12/2013) [-]

Basic summary.

MC moves into city where the story takes place.
Attends a certain classroom that is cursed.
Meets girl that everyone in the class ignores to prevent curse.
Due to his acknowledgment of girl, curse is active. Everyone begins to die.
He and girl must solve curse before they die.

Another is one of my favorite horror story. I recommend it. There is a lot more to the story but I would be spoiling it.

in a less literal sense of founding father.

wundt founded clinical psychology if i remember right, or experimental (definitely the biggest contributor to what it is today through his lab and the people he trained)..but honestly where psychology started being a discipline and stopped being a subsidiary of philosophy is incredibly blurred, according to a professor of mine the closest thing to a father was some spanish guy in the 1500's..don't remember the name because I was 99% sure she picked a spanish guy to please the predominantly Mexican class..

#103 - flamingtent (08/30/2013) [-]
I'm sorry if you did not understand my comment. Maybe if I clarify my comment a bit more you can understand what I am talking about.

The content states that Freud was one of the founding father of psychology meaning he contributed to the birth of psychology which isn't true. Freud was a neurologist who make a branch of psychology.

Those are two different things. Unless you believe that there is no difference in the two and that I'm overthinking it. Then I apologize for bothering you with this comment.

Thank you.

Earlier I was looking up stuff about some of the early psychologists and someone had said Freud was the father of psychology...and I just got really mad. (I'm a psych major). Freud's important, but I hate how he's the only person people think of when they think of psychology...especially because a lot of his ideas aren't exactly testable, so they're more or less used as "backboard" ideas and have been reformed.

Psychoanalysis is actually a branch of bullshit.
User avatar #30 - hockeykicksass (08/30/2013) [-]
as a therapy it can work great, a lot of Freud's theories are disproven but his therapy style is still very popular and effective
User avatar #44 - volleys (08/30/2013) [-]
It's still very popular yes, but only because people milk it for money. Psychoanalysis is the idea that your subconscious(which doesn't exist by the way) predetermines behavior. Research it. Psychoanalysis does not work.
User avatar #80 - enkmaster (08/30/2013) [-]
What?

Its your subconscious that makes your dreams. People who are capable of Lucid Dreaming (such as myself) are sometimes capable of communicating with their subconscious. Not a conversation with it, mind you. Just asking questions about yourself. What your nightmare means and such.
User avatar #107 - volleys (08/30/2013) [-]
It doesn't exist. Dreaming is brought on by regular, reduced brain activity. Research it.
User avatar #48 - hockeykicksass (08/30/2013) [-]
subconscious does very well exist it might not be as you think of, for example you leave your house and you feel like your forgot something and then you realizes that you left your keys in the house, your subconscious is responsible for that feeling its more of an instinct then anything, for psychoanalytical therapy it might not be as effective as cognitive behavioral therapy it can still be used and work, in the theory the subconscious is more biological drives not all behavior, the theory today more focus on early childhood affect on a person, which in some case has support, such as attachment theory.
User avatar #108 - volleys (08/30/2013) [-]
That is not your subconscious. That is regular memory/forgetting.

the only thing i have to say about that is that while it is ridiculous, legally it is true. If a woman is in your bed naked and you are kissing, and you have sex but you never asked if you could have sex with her she could take you to court and likely win, claiming she felt scared and pressured into sex she didnt want. If you are both drunk and she decides it was rape the next day, even if she was the one ripping your clothes off, you are going to jail.

The solution is to not fuck crazy bitches. Just be careful out there guys, bitches be crazy.
