I hate her mainly because of this quote, and her ego.

She seem so smug, and basically complains how fat is supposed to be ugly but turns around and says the same thing about skinny girls.

She also seems to think the typical fat girl thing, 'I'd rather be fat than a skeleton", because apparently the only 2 sizes are a blimp and a broom.

She is a good singer, I like her voice, but I don't care for her typical "break up" lyrics and definitely her personality.

I figured that too, it still falls under ego though.

If she had actually said that (and I couldn't find a source for it, so I'm going with she didn't), it would make me love her more.

For all the bullshit FJ gives most popular musicians, it's incredibly hypocritical to turn around and say you hate an artist who cares more about their music than their appearance.

If it was some metal or rock band who made a similar quote, you guys would be saying "Oh they're so badass."

I actually disagree with alot of opinions of my favorite artists, I would really hate if 1 of them said that, but w/e, I can't change them, or my music taste because of that.

Don't put 1 person with a stereotype for an entire community. Although, I basically displayed that i did that, with the 'typical fat girl thing", she actually did say it, while you're assuming what I think, rather than what I said.

Also, I have seen interviews, and like I said, I don't care for her lyrics, they display how she is as well.

How could that statement be wrong? Her stating "I want to be on the cover of Rolling Stone or Q" is her stating her opinion, it's not like she's defying the laws of science by preferring Rolling Stone to Playboy.

I don't have a problem with artists who rely on image, per se. Image is a huge part of music, especially pop music. But it's incredibly refreshing to hear a pop artist who cares more about her music than how people think she looks.

And quite frankly, Adele certainly gets tired of having to talk about her weight in practically every single interview she's ever done, so I understand her getting short with interviewers who ask about it.

She definitely used to be fat, but now she's just a curvy woman. And fuck, you know if you've lost as much weight as she clearly has, and people still go "How do you feel about your weight?" it's not gonna do wonders for your self image.

She really has cut down, and I would be offended as well after losing an amount of weight.

What I was really trying to say in "I really hate her mainly of this quote, and ego", is that her ego and the quote are the main reasons I hate her, as if both equal, not the quote is the only main reason, I see the confusion.

What I really should've put was, "I hate her mainly because of her ego displayed in this quote".

To be honest it's the comma that ruined your sentence. It reads closer to what you meant if you leave it out.
I remain un-swayed in my opinion that she is a great singer, I haven't seen any of her interviews though, so I don't really have an opinion on her personality. And I still don't see what is so bad about that quote.

i dislike them so. the real reason i don't like people who do that is because no one should say "they are the next beatles". not matter who they are. why were the beatles so amazing? they were innovative and different. Help! was different from revolver. revolver was different than sgt. peppers, and that was different from the white album. people need to stop trying to copy the musical past. the next band that is equally as great as the beatles is the band that makes something new and different that changes musical history
